He got his first pellet gun today!
He's been shooting a Crossman BB repeater, and he shoots really well.
I gave him a Buckmark crack barrel pistol with a Truglo Red/Green dot.

Stan. I think I have the same weakness as you. Very little encouragement needed is all it takes.
I just saw one of those pistols and I passed. Thought it was the same as the 45 1/2 cocked. Crow

The 45 is a springer with a half cock power, and the 75 is a single stroke pneumatic. Also the 75s grip is cut short so it can't use 1911 grips like the 45 can.View attachment 511674
👍
With some modifications it can. I like the 1911 style grips better.

I shot my new HW50S for the 3rd time. I'm almost through a 400 count tin. The front sight fell off. I guess it's time to check the set screws and buy some loctite..... It was ok though because I had just mounted my new scope..View attachment 272596
I dont know if you need lock tight, just a check each shooting session with a torque driver worked for me as I broke in my HW95. After a couple tins it seems to be staying tight. I only check about every 500count tin now and all is well. YMMV:)

High 40’s and rain. Time to shoot. Gave this HW95 .177 with new Vortek goodies.

Just doesn’t get much better. Couldn’t stop shooting.
Next up was this Weihrauch Barakuda .22 iron sights.

What a great gun to shoot. 1 inch spinner 25 yds. no problem.
‘And last with little time because I was under dressed and hypothermia was setting in.

Deadly accurate. Still has a bit of a twang. Love plinking with this rifle. Great to get some shots in. Almost ready for winter. Crow

Dusted off the Marksman Model 70 yesterday, shooting very smooth at 10.8 ftlb. May do a rebuild on it with a new spring and seals as it should be shooting a bit harder than 10.8. Easy hitting cans at 40 yards with open sights despite the lower power, very nice gun I don't shoot enough.

The TX200 won today's airgun lottery as "rifle for the day". Using a lottery system insures that we all get equal trigger time (and prevents dissension in the cabinet 😉 ).

As springers typically don't care for being shot off of benchrests I shoot them offhand. The TX200 is hefty to start with and even more so with the GinB stock so I'll shoot three or four sessions (of five targets of 5 shots) over the course of the day. It's at factory FAC power at the moment but I'll be installing a 12 FPE spring for indoor shooting this winter.

Cheers!
