We held our last Field Target match of 2024 on Saturday, 9 November in light breezes and pleasant temperatures in the 70's and low 80's. That afternoon some stayed for our second silhouette match.
We had the pleasure of three new shooters in the Field Target match! Derek S. and his son Hunter S. are experienced firearm and airgun shooters, but new to Field Target. Their experience showed with great scores for their first time. Vladimir M. shot most lanes with his father, Sheppard M. (our Match Director) without the pressure of keeping score, and did well also. Lots of father and son bonding going on this day!
Robert D. shot his first match with a new springer and did......ok.....

Our second Silhouette Match was done after a short lunch break. Still a work in progress as we decide on a format that will be fun and interesting for all, scores are not reported. Scotty H. says he won.... We placed the little critters at 10, 20, 35, and 40 yards (not sure I remember the exact distances correctly). People with scopes shot those distances and those without magnification, open sights, red dots, etc. moved in 10 yards and showed their prowess.
We're taking December off to do lots of venue work. Next match January 11th 2025 weather permitting.
