First time sorting out a crumbled seal
I did read that so was able to get it all out thanks! The only thing I'd really like is a lathe for sizing the seal. Got there in the end with drill and sandpaper but leaves room for errorLooks about right for an original seal this many years later.
DO MAKE SURE, when cleaning out the compression chamber you get 100% of ALL the old seal in the corners scraped out all the way around !!!
Failing to do so, replacement seals outer most sealing edge will get damaged when it comes to rest on the un-removed debris !!
I used the Maccari tuning kit ( not the soft one ) Polished springs ends really wheel and polished the faces of the compression tube where cocking shoe slidesYou use ARH green seals? I've had good luck but you do need to get the seal to where it slides some in the chamber when you push on the piston. I prefer Vortek piston seals, but could not find them in FWB 124. I used a spring ARH called the Twister. Getting 830 fps out of it. What spring did you use? You seem to be getting very good velocities out of the 124.
