Incredible consistent accuracy with a .22 pellet at 100 yards !

Your 1/2” groups at 100 yards look like my 40 yard groups today - testing a 700mm barrel on my .22 FX Crown.

1/2” is so tight at distance, can’t imagine doing that at 100 yards, at least not outdoors.

Great shooting!

How “docile” is your Scout shooting 22g pellets at 980fps? Does it jump around much?

I am using my BR set up
there is a recoil that moves the stock and I need to push the rifle forward after each shot

That’s perfectly normal in Benchrest it’s called “Free Recoil” the gun should track perfectly straight back and not cant or pivot or arc as it tracks back just push the gun forward after the shot. If it’s set up correctly you shouldn’t have to touch the gun other than the trigger! It has to be a very light trigger!

Very impressive, Mike! That’s fabulous shooting right there!

Cant wait to shoot it. Bricker says he’s sending me your barrel when he’s done with it!

Kidding, lol
Hey Augie!
You would be a person i trust to handle testings
I hope we all can get together again in the future

I am learning about "free Recoil" for my bag set-up..a little more to it than just plopping the rifle on the rest and shoot
In the photo, you see the silver wheel used for extending the buttpad ..I removed that assembly to allow for a smoother recoil
And filled my bags to be very stiff and rigid.
Had to use a metal bar to flatten the area between the ears so that it was level.
I have heard that it is a hit/miss when getting a rear bag for your set-up..you often buy a few to get the recoil you want
this edgewood bag seems to be working out for me just fine
any tips?
Mike
