West Hunter Scopes

I have the FFP on my Prod and I love it. Not sure if I would put in on a springer over 8fpe.

Have had a few WH scopes, and they're on par with Athlon entry level in quality. That's not a slight, that's a compliment to them. Athlon has very good stuff in their bargain range.

I sold mine off because I don't like 30mm tubes or etched glass rets, or FFP scopes.

I found this brand on Amazon, I see they make a 16 power 30mm tube scope that comes with a sun shade, and parallax wheel plus mounts. All this for $200, has anyone tried this brand on Spring Guns?
Do you have a link to this model? I'm looking for a budget scope that's about 20 ounces or less. Both Arken's and Athlon's are around 25 ounces.

i bought one, took 2 shots and the reticle went wonky. the turrets were aweful. won't be getting another one. I felt like it was a step down in quality from my athlon talos scopes, and a couple steps down from the athlon argos and helos.
Thanks for chiming in! Did you send in the scope for warranty repair?

so i had to go read my emails to remember.
i got it from charlie sexton at airgunopticsplus as a replacement for a faulty discovery scope. He refused to service or replace the discovery scope, and would only offer a west hunter scope as a replacement (like, what?). After my first round of dealing with charlie on the discovery scope, i just took it as a lesson and gave up and called it a loss.

What gun did you have it on? Just curious.

That is a shamed, discovery scopes have been good to me over the years. Models HS & HD, i have about 3 of each and never any problems....
would not take a WH in return !!

I bought one West Hunter once and ran out of elevation very fast while sighting it in, yet the elevation knob kept turning from what I recall. Sent it back to Amazon and never purchased another. For cheap scopes I like Vector Veryrons 3-12x, although I’m not a fan of the 4-16x with illuminated center dot. It’s not cheap. I’ve read good things about the Vector Veyron in 6-24x magnification as well. I also like Primary Arms for budget scopes. Keep in mind I’m not a turret clicker.
