You can buy a Umarex Zelos for about $408 plus shipping with no tax.
Zelos .22

Zelos 25

I bought my .22 Zelos from Dack Outdoors:
Dack Outdoors has no tax and today has free shipping over $250 with a coupon that will popup.

I like the Zelos so much that I want to buy a .25 too.

For half off I’d go with the Gunnar, I have zero interest with anything umarex. Benjamin is good value, good CS for me.
Crosman has the best customer support in the business.
Crosman also has some of the most expensive PCPs for what the offer.

Gunnar is just a Kral made PCP very similar to any other Kral PCP (NP03, Puncher, etc).
Kral also makes the Akela, Kratos and Cayden sold by Crosman.

I have 2 Kral NP03, which are decent but have short useable shot strings.
Still I like them a short light carbines, but I paid only $250 each.

On the other hand the Gunnar seems to be big and heavy, similar to Kratos.

The many Kral experts on this forum wil hopefuly give us their opinions.

It is not even regulated but it has a big air bottle to compensate.
Negative, the Gunnar has a regulator, although it is not externally adjustable. The bottle valve lets you pull the bottle before you degas, so you don't lose that much air if you need to play with the reg.

The Gunnar's hammer spring is not adjustable, but the rifle has the adjustable transfer port. I think Benjamin discontinued it so if you have a warranty issue you may just get credit towards a different model.

I have a Gunnar. It's heavy, but I use it off a bipod or bags. I like it as a range gun, and it's pretty quiet. I've had it apart and it's built well.

I stand corrected, the Gunnar is regulated.

This is the most thorough review I could find:

I read that review before, and given the big air bottle was not impressed with the shot string.

For the same price, I still do not think is a better buy than the Umarex Zelos.

I personally really appreciate Nate and his channel (Airgun Channel). One of the few anymore that puts out a steady stream of regular content containing really nice products. I can imagine that it is a lot of work. When you make regular videos and content you are going to say things that maybe aren’t quite right or what everyone agrees with. The hatsan factor he reviewed shot really well. What’s a person supposed to say 🤷‍♂️.

I am pretty sure the Gunnar is a Reximex Nyx.

and regardless of what I've seen in several places, Kral & Reximex are not the same company and do not share ownership.

Correct in that they are not.
They are however under the same ownership (Turkey, of course).
The original idea for the Reximex brand was to pull "upscale Kral" guns if i´ve been informed correctly. As to how they´ve succeeded, in all honesty a little to early to tell IMO.

The Gunnar indeed is the Reximex NYX. As a Reximex it does not carry the MSRP of the Gunnar, albeit not off by much.

For various reasons i´ve owned a number of Rex made guns myself (live in Europe) and especially the later designs IMO shows great promise of great things to come.
The NYX tho.. Really?
It´s built rather peculiar seeing todays market me thinks, there´s a number of features and lack thereof i simply do not get. Might be Benji specified them as such tho?
First thing´s first though. Adjusting reg pressure IMO is easy. Sure, to get to it you have to... yadda yadda, but in all honesty.. dunno about you guys but as i arrive on a given reg pressure that normally stands from thereon out until i want to try a new pill, performance level or whatever. In short i really do not see this as an issue. Adjusting reg pressure is something I at least don´t exactly do on the fly, don´t know about you guys.

However.
Seeing how childs play it was to handle, it just fails me why hammer spring pressure isn´t adjustable stock. I just do not get it, it is extremely simple to pull off, in essence you need a tap to install an allen stop screw and done deal.
OF COURSE this should have been done at the factory.
Next up, the thing - again IMO - sports a way to short barrel. Again seeing where the industry is moving after all. Atop that the barrel sports the most insane diffusor setup i´ve ever put my eyes on in person. Thing being that the diffusor adds so much length that although the barrel is rather short you sure as eff don´t notice with the rifle back together.
Knowing all to well what a diffusor´s supposed to perform.. just beyond me. Cause see, they use the same thing for the Meta and what not,.. and it´s just as out of place there too.

That the trigger is "match quality" is just plain false in turn. You CAN adjust it to become decent and then some but match trigger, as in match grade, nope. Not really. Usable for delicate work though, if adjusted, yes.
The actual trigger assy rides in a sub structure of its own and is bolted to the main block via a countersunk allen for each side. Issue there is that them holes are off vs what should be, handing that the entire trigger assy rocks back n forth where it sits.
IMO that´s just plain *rap and should have been handled before these puffs were let into market.

That diffusor in turn. As you crank down on it vs the barrel, and you of course should, well.. now the shroud tube is simply to long to fit. I had to cut a full 3 mills off to make that thing torq as intended.

Final say in turn, getting it to make power sans any hardcore modifications?
Here´s the bottom line, nope. No you will not. As is, adjusting what little there is, this thing will stonewall around like 50J and that´s it, in 25cal.

IF you however take to modifying the piece, different ballgame all together.

I took to handing it a completely different poppet on a 2mm dia shank, i handed it way stiffer HS and in turn made that adjustable. I handed it a ca 120cc plenum, ported the transfers and what not, and now we were getting somewhere.
In this guise we were getting into 3 figure power numbers (in Joules), yes even on the stock "to short" barrel.
For some reason the stock volume set for plenum keeps this piece down you won´t believe (it´s pityful small) and that gets kind of peculiar if you compare the piece to the Reximex Meta that sports a 90cc plenum right from the getgo.
Reasoning behind this? No idea. That being said, to get a NYX/Gunnar to haul you HAVE to hand it more plenum volume, period.

Ok. If so, then for the million dollar question, will it shoot?

7.jpg

Yes it will shoot. Flyer is on me. This done using 33.95 grain JSB´s why it´s safe to say that my findings have been quite different vs the Youtubers there. In fact, i for one at least have yet to take delivery of a Rex gun that will NOT shoot. Caveat to that is that all Rex guns, to my findings (and i´ve owned and still do quite a few) measure "large".
Ie; for a 22cal one go 218" flavor dia for decent results right off the bat.
Fact is, in contrast to him there i find the Factor to be absolute bottom of the bin stuff - and especially so seeing what they run.

My current go to on the rats time being is no doubt my Reximex Meta Premium.
Yep. Severely worked on that one too but OH does it ever deliver.

Here next to my M3. Both lovely guns and the Meta is actually setup to hand more power than the M3. Point then being that albeit a MP takes a bit of work to really shine.. it will, and then at the rate of rather specific half the cost of the M3.
To be kept in mind.
