I have a 48 in .22 looking for scope that isn't too expensive that will hold up on this monster . previous owner had it tuned and added scope droope base shoots very accurately but scopes don't last . also any leads as to where I can find a synthetic stock thanks

I have an old Simmons 44 mag made in the Philippines. It survived on a Theoben Eliminator for a few thousand rounds.

I had a UTG scope that I had on an RWS 48 .22, never any issues

I have a Hawke Air Max on my 48 .177. I have put about 50 shots through it without issue. I would suggest getting a scope base with the set-screw that anchors it to the rail, to mitigate movement.

The UTG Bugbuster is a good little scope specially for the price, 3-12x32 130 bux on amazon.

Old UTG True Hunter without the IR. This thing is a tank, has over a thousand shots on it. It even survived the early days before I bent the barrel to optical center, when the right windage adjustment was maxed out with no spring tension on it. It out shoots my HW's now.

If its wrecking scopes, fix the gun. A 48 that isn't slamming with a loose piston seal and wildly over sprung shouldn't be that violent.
As for the fogging, I've found that a lot of really cheap scopes arent sealed well. So even if they put nitrogen in them (which I'm skeptical of) it surely leaks out in short order.
If the scope fogs up, but still holds zero, I might not immediately blame the gun.

Yes holds zero great but fogs up . rifle shots smooth as butter . has been professional tuned
