HW/Weihrauch Loading HW44 ?

I recently got an HW44 pistol. I got it because I was so Impressed with the HW100.
Aside from the magazine capacity (10 vs 14) the mechanism appears to be the same. Loading the magazine into the pistol however seems to be more of a hassle.
IIs anyone else experiencing this issue and is there a trick to it that I’m missing?
I must add that I think both of these guns are phenomenal shooters.

The hw44 has the same action as the hw110. To load, you have to push the latch down and hold it in place while loading. Then spin the mag a couple clicks to make sure it’s properly indexed before closing the bolt. A little trickier than the hw100, but still not bad.

Agree with @madeintheuk . The trick is after you push in while holding loading lever, spin the mag a few pellet locations to assure complete loading. It's harder to explain than to do. With practice it becomes second nature. I see lots of complaining about the "finicky loading" of the mag, but honestly it’s no big deal once you get some practice. Just shoot more!

I agree also, but (of course, there's all ways a but)if you're interested in investing in additional magazines I highly recommend these:

They slide in and out much easier and rotate smoother. I've been using them for 4-5 years

Concur with all the above. After you've swapped out the mags enough, it becomes second nature. The accuracy and trigger are worth the effort.

As much as I love the hw 44 and 100 the funky mags with oring retainers and quirky loading method lead me to other simpler platforms - but damn - those weihrauchs can shoot!
