Just bought a Akela

I just saw that sale on AR also. To my eye, the deal seems hard to beat. Stock is disappearing there quickly. I am interested to see if the refurbished .177 is nice, and if it is accurate. It should be. Take care. S7

I don't think the cocking lever reverses and it is in back so it may be your cheek rest. I liked the looks of the Akela but I crossed it off my list (I shoot from my left shoulder too).

There is no switching the lever from right to left

Edit: I think the regulated Marauder with the LW barrel was an interesting item.

just FYI, I picked up one in .177 about a month ago. According to Rich, the .177’s are new, just not in boxes. I cut down the hammer spring and this thing is a tack driver. He is having a Black Friday sale on them. $169. Don’t pass this up if you are even considering one. You won’t be sorry. A $600 gun when they came out. If you don’t know about the spring shortening mod, or are afraid to try it, just order his tune kit. I put one in my Cayden, and it worked great. I am ordering one for the Akela as well. Mine likes Zan 13g slugs a lot, and is not really pellet picky.

I almost bought one a couple years ago when they were on sale for something around $325. It has been hard to resist the $219 refurb price, but $169 is over the top, I couldn't turn it down. I guess I need to get a few hammer springs, maybe a couple mags.
