FX fx impact m4 first 10 shots are slow

As a fx owner. This is very disappointing on a 2k gun. You guys go and buy a notos for $200. The first shot to when the reg fell off is less than 10 fps spread. Crazy how an $200 gun is more consistent and doesn't need extra parts from oversea or taking gun apart and cleaning. Smh. Dont trust me, go and buy a notos. It doesn't have this slow 1st or 2nd or 10th shot. All shots are within 10 fps even if you leave it overnight. You don't see anyone complaining about notos slow shots cause it doesn't have it. Mind blowing. Lol

Here's the update -

-After letting the rifle sit for 4+ hours yesterday, first five shots were: 872, 885, 884, 885, 885 (normal is 895'ish)

-After sitting overnight, first five shots were: 854, 870, 869, 880, 883

I wouldn't say that the cleaning/polishing process completely resolved the situation but definitely brought it back to what I've known as "normal" for an Impact, which is a slower first/second shot. This is essentially how most/all of my Impacts throughout the years have behaved. It's not ideal but 99.99% of my shooting is inside of 40yds so this isn't a huge consequence for me.

However, this is the first Impact that I've had to put in extra effort just to get it to act "normal" (which, again, "normal" isn't exactly ideal) so that's disappointing given that it is the latest/greatest model. Also curious to see if/when the issue will rise up again and when I'll have to clean everything up again.
You’re good Yen. That’s about the best it’s gonna be. I’m also guessing you are on a pellet tune so like you said, not the end of the world for 40 and under shooting. Low plenum pressure makes a difference. But you can’t have too low of a hammer strike. It has to be spot on.

Where this issue bit me was at the time, all my Impacts were sluggers with FX barrels. Those barrels are harmonically sensitive and it was blatantly obvious that until the gun warms up, it’s not going to be harmonically on point. And they weren’t. Had to try to fix it and is eventually why I got away from their barrels. Now I have some leeway to land that first slug at distance on the money.

I have send a message to Airbuks (he works now for FX, doing the YouTube videos for FX), showed the part @mubhaur made and explained him what it does. Also explained what the current flaw is of the FX part.

He responded, letting me know that he has forwarded the information to FX, and they are reviewing it.
I normally send all my YouTube videos related to FX IMPACT to Frederick .

My new m4 .22 cal had the same 8 to 10 shot wake up count . Sent it to the Techs at Utah airguns . They replaced valve rod and tested the gun everyday for a week . Now one shot to wake up . My overnight test was with velocity set at 940 the day before .First shot was 923 the second 942 . All it cost me was 12 days without my Impact and that dam neared killed me . I do enjoy that shooter a LOT! If its on WARRANTY send it in and then the problem may go away if FX starts getting bit in the wallet OK !

I dispatched following parts to Croatia, US and UK to fix slow shots problem in M3 and M4. My personal M3 is also fine since I installed this part. So far every friend using it has no complaints. YouTube video is also available.

FX should have fixed this issue much earlier.

Ok for an 2k gun why do we need to buy this mystery part to make the gun shoot normal? Shouldn't this be fix from fx. How much is this mystery part shipped? 🤔
hmm let's see I'm still new in this sport but from what i have seen and read and witnessed (myself)
it seems like all the impact models have had this issue along with reg creep. but is it or is it the temp humidity and pressure change due to the material the gun is made from?
in any case FX should have fixed this issue i removed the black grease right from day one wiped down the rod polished and used a lite coating of ballistol
on microfiber and give it a wipe and re assembled so 2-3 shot delay for now in cold temps 35 isn't going to last but been good.
this plenum valve tube is what fx should have addressed 5 models ago so is it ignorance? its 170 to have made and shipped is it worth it? for me it is i don't want to fire 3-4 rounds to warm it up when varmint hunting? not me, target shooting no biggie.
the question i ask is why spend 3k on a scope for a 2k gun?
for the cost of an arca rail i will fix my guns 60ft times. i knew of this before my purchase and i get it FX should fix it. let's see if they even do with the mk5.
maybe that will be one of the upgrades.
you know what is funny they say the m3 is 720cc and the m4 is 750 you look it up the chamber is the same part number for both.
so did they just change the number?

He does, too, lol, for I have seen those 100+ yard MOUSE kills with one shot, the first one after it’s sat for awhile

The plenum is 720 aswell on the m4. Ernest confirmed that.

Matt Dubber said the plenum has been increased and can run a lower pressure now. I dont get it anymore, I love my FX guns but the paid youtubers are just spreading false info.

yea matt to me is a poster boy for fx imo i purchased that new design plenum tube.
so i went onto the exploded view of the m3 and m4 its all the same it says m3 right in the m4 part list.
so throw a 750 and say its bigger but the only thing bigger is the number lol. no biggie i enjoy the gun shoots incredible.

Your sentence that says, I (I used a cap, you didn’t) knew of this before my purchase answers your question. You still bought it knowing, so why would they spend money and R&D to fix it? The guns are still flying off the shelves.

because i like to Tinker with things as i do with my drag cars. trucks. atvs
if i can take it apart find an issue of what's causing it what's the fix is and what's it going to take to correct it why not?
in all reality within 3-4 shots its game on, i know it can be better so I'm going to fix it.
it's no different than any other mid-range gun or higher they all have their own quirks and bugs to be worked out.
not 1 out of the box is 100%.

Actually there are quite a few guns around or below the Impacts price point that don’t have any quirks or bugs to be worked out. You won’t be new to this sport forever so hopefully you’ll get to own some of them, I do. But like you, I like to tinker also. When I sold my first Impact back in 2016, it was a big problem child, I vowed to return to that platform when I got my sh#t together. After four years of building slug guns from every optimistic platform that struck my fancy, I returned to conquer or fail the Impact in 2020. So I understand the guy who can fart $2k for a project gun. I’ve farted five times since then. I just don’t understand the guy who just wants to shoot and cold shot hunt that buys one with all the information that’s out there about this platform. There are so many way better guns for the same or less money. Better may not be the best word. Maybe less aggravating, more robust, or just more long term consistent better describes what I mean.

yeah, i get it i like the traditional rifles and there are a few that were 5oo 700 cheaper, but this just feels like home for whatever reason
just like that one car.
I'm sure there are better for cheaper but to say no quirks on some guns lol that's making a statement. nothing in this world today just works.
im not getting any younger so i said what the hell got out of drag racing after 25 years need another hobby beside 4x4 atvs
this seems to be it.
