Air Venturi Comp 10 pistol

Today I tried out my new pistol and it only comes with a right hand grip and of course I’m left handed. Found out that I can shoot it so easy right handed I’m not going to change the grip. It sure makes my compressor feel neglected. Just shoot and to the tin runs out. My only complaint is that it will not allow a scope to be mounted. At least I don’t see how to do it as is. A fun gun for sure and is the quietest air gun I have. Charles

what i have read these Snowpeak PP20's are a clone of a Styer 10 now how much is interchangeable is unknown to me
Maple Custom Product has a model 10 mount in place of the rear sight will it fit ?????

one could be made using one barrel grub screw hole and the shroud cover hole but the shroud cover hole would have to still be use as the shroud hold screw and the mounting screw might be tricky without drilling and tapping an extra hole any flat bottom Weaver mount would work
the grips would have to be checked on a Styer model 10 and if that worked you could get lefties at Rink
no they list the PP20 in their grip compatibility with their Styer pistols

oh i do like spending other money LOL
enjoy your new pistol

I am curious as to the similarity to the Steyr pistols also. Many features appear to be a direct copy.

I agree with marflow that the rear sight mounts over a rib which appears to be the same as the Steyr LP and EVO 10 and the LP50.

You could remove your rear sight easily as it only mounts with one screw. Measure the width of the standing rib underneath and if it's 6mm (.236", just under 1/4") you are in business and the Maple Custom Products mount will fit! This mount would be better with a red dot due to the cocking lever getting in the way. A scope would have to be positioned well back to clear and likely only use one ring as the rail only has 4 cross slots.

It also appears that the barrel shroud is like the Steyr pistols which would accept this weaver mount:
Order two of them to mount the scope rings and position the scope in front of the cocking lever.

Best of luck with your new pistol Charles!

This is a mount I made for my LP50. It is about twice as long as the Maple mount. I can't remember which scope this is but the position would be similar on your pistol but probably have to be a little further back. You can also see the weaver mount I linked to on the barrel shroud. You have to remove the front sight to slide it over the shroud. Imagine two of them holding the scope rings.

there are no rules for us old shooter we do what we need to do, or we don't shoot
the only competition we are in is to get out of bed the next day and stand up and keep the people with the rubber bags one more day at bay
anyone that is 85 and has the interest that Charles does should be applauded, i am going on 75 and i am not sure i could keep up with Charles
the problem is always stay away from the loading area behind the scope could be to close in front and the pistol is nose heavy but on a bag who cares
damn those mounts at Krale are PRICEY

Spent the last hour trying to order from Krale and never got it to take my visa payment? Can you call them and give an order? I searched and couldn't find any other source. Charles

Can't wait to see how this turns out! Just got an email from Krale saying my order was received and payment was wire transfer? I only tried my visa card. Will update here when this mess is worked out. Just got another email asking for my wire transfer info. No way! I think I'll call my cred card and let them know I'm making the out of the states order and give it one more try.

Krale is in the Netherlands so time of day is an issue. Establishing an account is probably necessary. Wait until business hours and use their chat feature. I have bought from them many times using a Visa card.

While you’re there check out the Snowpeak PP20 which is the same pistol that Air Venturi sells as the Comp 10.
https://www.krale.shop/en/snowpeak-pp20/

I believe Pilkington‘s sells the mounts but they are $115 (talk about PRICEY) last I heard. Call to verify.
Champions Choice may have them but will be similar cost as Pilks. That’s why I linked Krale.

@sekiar - Happy new gun day! A custom grip is worth it and put any kind of optic you want on it 😀 I have a red dot on mine but I keep looking for the unicorn optic.

I ordered custom grips from Rink in Germany. Took forever to get here (eight weeks!) but was worth it. I ordered them for my IZH-46M and they were perfect out of the box.

I shoot cans at 55 yards with my LP400 all the time. I aim about ten inches high and adjust for windage. I have also shot a few grackles causing "depredation" with it. H&N Terminator 7.33's are great pellets. 😀

Welcome to the PCP pistol Rabbit Hole!

okay
wire transfer are a pain
try World Remit they are cheap maybe Zoom they are part of Pay Pal i believe
more than likely your card company saw a purchase out of country and stopped it, it has happened to me many times
I did get an email from my card asking about the order. Will call them tomorrow and try again. Thanks Charles

NIce Enjoy it. A friend of mine just bought one of these last week. ( It was teh last in the warehouse and they said AV was no longer importing them. Not sure how true that statement is but they do seem to be out of stock everywhere.) I had a chance to handle it side by side with my Steyr LP1. Overall, I was impressed. Fit and finish on everything seemed pretty good ( Not quite to Steyr level but it costs 60% less). The pistol shoots better than most could hold it and the trigger was excellent. Run over the Garmin Zero , the gun was producing low 500's (I forget exact numbers) but had a SD below 3 FPS. Seems like allot of pistol for the price. I wil add though that he said he thought the gun might have a small leak as the manometer dropped a bit after filling. Time will tell.

i still think using a flat bottom weaver mount is the trick here but i would have to know how deep the hole are for the barrel grub screws and the grub screw for the shroud
if they are 3mm screws as used on the Chaser you can get the in 2mm length and if there is enough threads above the grub screw that could be use for a forward mounting weaver mount and if you got one with the center removed the factory sights could work
now i know Charles would not do this but an idea for other
those two mounts at Krale and shipping are a rip off
just an idea

Latest update. Called Visa and they cleared so I could order, however they would not take the payment. Mean while I went back out in the cold and shot the pistol again while holding it in my LEFT hand and I seldom miss a target. I guess using it right handed just wasn't do as well as I first thought. Now I've decided to modify the grip so it will fit my hand better. And use the open sights and forget the scope. Charles
