OK, I have a puzzle for you all. How many clicks to get a scope back to factory zero.

A lot, 280.
But it also doesn't matter, unless you're trying to zero your scope at optical zero by using adjustable mounts. Otherwise just zero it and go shoot.

280 was the number I came up with so I will try that and see if I can verify with the mirror method.

Solution 
Go to the top of the adjustment and count clicks until you reach the bottom. Then divide by 2 and count that many clicks back up. You will then be at mechanical zero. Do the same with windage if needed.

Great suggestion, but I have the attention span of a beagle. I did the math based on the total MOA and clicks per MOA. Also used the calipers and divided the measurement in half.
