Scope Recommendation for Bullpup

Hey folks! I'm in the market for a new not so heavy scope for my Bullpup (for shooting or hunting purposes) but I’m trying to avoid spending a ton of money.

I’ve heard a lot about top-tier optics, but honestly, I’m not ready to drop a fortune. I’m more about balancing performance and budget. Anyone have recommendations?

I’m looking for something that gives good clarity, decent range, and solid accuracy without being overpriced. Maybe something under $300 (but open to suggestions if it’s really worth it). 💡

For context, I’ll mostly be using the it on a medium-range shooting. Precision matters, but I don’t need pro-level gear for now.

What do you all think? Any mid-tier scopes you’ve had good experiences with I’ve seen a few options, but your feedback would help a lot! 🔍

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Feel free to tweak it as you see fit!

If carry/weight is important and you are shooting up to medium range I would say look at the Discovery Optics HD 2-12x24 FFP scope. I have one, it is TINY and focuses down to 5yds, has clear glass, a little gem of a scope in my humble opinion. Have it on my Notos and it looks small..😂. Got mine from DiscoveryOpt.us.. was 165 to my door, mine shipped from CA. Also has an illuminated reticle.

I can’t even count how many scopes I’ve bought in my shooting lifetime. It’s an insane amount ranging from $200 to $2k. The only scope I’ve ever bought multiples of is the Athlon Heras 4-20. Just ordered another one a couple days ago. Several years ago I just got tired of mounting guns on bloated scopes. Bloated scopes make guns handle weird but we like their features. The Athlon has a 1” tube and gives me what I need. Perfect magnification range, light, great glass and repeatability. It’s a little over your budget but nothing I own that costs less comes even close.

Vector Veyron, liked the first one enough that I got a second. One on a Wildcat, one on a Vet. Not high end, but budget-friendly and adequate for me.
I just put a Veyron on a Wildcat yesterday, fairly small and light and decent glass. Tough to find good compact scopes that aren’t crazy expensive …

Vector Veyron, currently have 7, one 3-12x44, six 6-24x44, assorted IR, non-IR, FFP, SFP. Light, ultra-compact, smooth functioning with bright, clear glass. Ditched long, heavy scopes and improved gun handling considerably. Last ones purchased from Krale (Netherlands) Optic Department, $181 ($211 to-my-door) 6-24x44 SFP, IR (Six shade red center dot,) perfect reticle. WM

Depends on your overall weight and particular bullpup balance. I have a 1.5-4x Leupold on my Impact Compact, and an Arken 4-16x EPL4 on my other bullpup setup. On something like a Wildcat that is very light and very neutral balanced a 20oz or heavier scope really feels top heavy.

In my opinion Arken and Athlon are the best in the budget realm. Both are solid quality and performance, and both have stellar warranties.

I almost went for the EPL4, but it is 5 ounces heavier and $100 more than the Veyron 6-24x FFP. I’m not sure, but I’d imagine the Arken has better glass and definitely has better turrets.

These are great scopes. I have three of them. They live on HW's and I have had zero issues.

Server error when I try and post pics, sorry.

I have three Blackhound genesis 6-24 and love them. 239 bucks right now. Absolutely cannot be beat for that price.

Addition: just checked and if you use coupon code whoteewho it is 204 dollars. Won’t find a better scope at that price point.

I ordered a Blackhound Genesis for my Impact m3. They are great scopes for the money and all the extra stuff they give you. I switched it out to a Vortex Diamondback 6x24 ffp mostly because of the reticle. I like the Xmas tree on the vortex for the windage advantage. That’s the 4 th scope I’ve had on it and I think I’m done switching at least for a while. Looked at some more expensive scopes but most won’t do the 10 yd focus which is a requirement for me. Also wanted Ffp and 24x. Anyway picking a good scope for an air rifle was much tougher than doing it for my powder burners.

I also like my Vector Veyron 6-24 SFP from Krale. My Arken 6-24 is more clear but it costs almost twice as much and is bigger and heavier. I also like My Athlon Talos 6-24. I think it is a little more clear than the Veyron but it's bigger. If you won't be shooting little targets a 3-12 or 4-16 would probably be fine. Athlon makes the Talos in the other magnification and they are smaller and lighter. I like the Veyron and Arken but changing things is stiff on both. My Athlons move more easily (but not too easily).

Great looking. Yes mid range is the purpose.
