Cold out but had to shoot a little. Group is with jsb 44.75. Tried griffin slugs 56 grain. Not as much luck. 54 yards First shot after filling is always a dud. Way down on fps. Anyone else have that issue or ideas why that would occur?

Lots of regs need a purge shot after filling. I'm not 100% certain this is the exact reason but my thought is the filling process is much slower than the refresh rate after a shot so the regulator could either allow more or less air through before fully closing. That would could either cause partial valve lock if over or just a lower pressure first shot if under. If you refill before dropping off the reg does it still do that or only when refilling after dropping off? Still a great group!

That particular fill was from below reg pressure. Hmm I’ll have to pay more attention to if it does it if I top off before I hit reg pressure
