Got my Daystate huntsman revere .25 a few weeks ago. It was and is not recommended in .25 on here but I bought before reading.I thought I was getting great deal for $900 but it was unregulated. It shot 30 20 gr pellets fine in my cellar range of 13 yards but started low at 796 and rose to 936 after 16 shots 170 BAR and fell to 863 125 BAR at shot 29. I don’t know what 50 yards would be but I suspect there would be a vertical path .

So tinkering I shall do, ordered a huma regulator and with much troubles finally got installed with no leaks. Kept the stock off and went to accurizing. Started at 150 on the huma and got consistent 890s but only 14 shots before dropping off.
Reduced to 140 on reg and saw no real change. Started playing with hammer , in the end back to what it was about.

So far and I’m not done but the only thing the regulator did was make the shots consistent from the first shot till about 15. Stock you could
get about 27 but the first 8 or nine were way low fps.

Ooo the title.. I was having trouble removing the fill probe and blaming on the fill valve. The water filter I just put on does not allow the fast release of pressure to the hose , at least on my set up. Was a real pain diagnosing.

I think a new Daystate for $900 is a great deal no matter the Cal or unregulated. Maybe not the best choice of Cal for close distance basement practice, but still many would love to own one. The shot curve on an unregulated pcp can vary a lot depending on the valving and fill pressure. Most of the time you dont want to fill to max to avoid the high climb and drop off as the valving is balancing out against the pressure. Had you done more testing at different starting fill pressures your total fps spread would be pretty small. My Gamo Coyotes have about a 15fps total spread with about 50 shots if filled lower than max. Daystate has their valving setup really well so you should see similar or better.

Normally when adding a reg to a non regulated pcp, your goal would be less fps with the trade off being more shots and less spread. It sounds like you might have the reg set too high, causing a low shot count and quick drop off the reg. I would lower the reg setting and try to get lower fps for more shots, or take it out and go back to stock.
