Airforce Talonp

Quite simple:

Take your Talon, throw it to the waste basket and buy a newer technology.

Keeping an Airforce PCP other than as an antique is like having a Ford T and questioning how to have driving assistance on it.
Simplicity is gold. I too own several high end guns still keep and shoot a Talon P.

Not sure I would take this advice. My Air Force guns have been some of the most reliable and powerful in my collection.

Unless you're shooting .177 don't think a regulator makes sense on an AF gun with a short barrel. I have a 25 talon p, have tried a regulator on it and it just didn't have adequate plenum volume to get the speed up regardless of the pressure. I feel like the platform really performs well unregulated and once you get an 18 inch barrel. I was finding the 12 inch to be a little under powered but mainly because I was casting my own projectiles which were on the heavy side.

Current weight of pellet was 34 grain heavier shooting at 767 fps. I'm currently maxed out on the wheel. I also have a huben regulator set at 165 mpa. I may try going up to 190. To see if it's going to make a difference.
I don't know what huben regulator you have but that's pretty good for a 34 grain pellet. I have a talon ss in .25 and I'm getting 775 with 26 grain. Huben 50cc cricket regulator set at approximately 1700 psi and a homemade 85 gram hammer if my memory serves me. I actually lost speed turning my reg over 1700psi- maybe need more hammer weight or more spring. My hammer sets my spring at half the power wheel pre load when set at zero if that makes any sense. If I turn the power wheel up, it doesn't gain or loose anything. I didn't measure it but I believe the hole in the top hat valve is a limiting factor to what you can squeeze out of the gun with the reg. It's very accurate and gets around 45 shoots from around 3700 psi( again if my memory serves me) it has a 4500 psi .36 l bottle on it.

Well my old technology -- 22 condor does 155fpe in low power shooting 62gr slugs at 990+fps .. there's is no new technology today regulated close to that fpe in .22 .. there is simply different guns for different interest in this hobby, me personally I don't like semi automatic guns , but there's some members that do .. n that’s great. I don't have a like or the use for a 50 cal gun but other do , every one should buy what make them happy .

@2200 psi

Will the hi flo spare tank make a difference by giving the talonp any more power just by adding that or you will just be getting more shots per fill? I'm seriously thinking about getting it if it gives more power to the talonp

There is no valve more powerful than the Talon P valve.. after the talon P valve There is only custom ones .. n those will not do anything better because there is simply not enough barrel..that is why even when I had like 4 Talonp I always end up selling them..because for what I use them 18" is the shortest barrel I use and the talon p frame is way to short to properly supres the sound..

My question is with the hi flo tank will it deliver more air making it more powerful or it'll be the same as stock tank?
