Wondering if Century Arms and Niksan are owned by the same people.

I just put this here in general to ask if anyone knows if Niksan (I think I spelled that right) and Century Arms or Canik is owned by the same people or are the same company. The reason is I just seen some air rifles on Donnyfl’s site I believe and when I watched an advertisement video from the company it was more less made exactly like the first Canik advertisement video. not only that but the way they are providing a sort of decent hard case and all the accessories they provide that come in the case with the rifle. This is exactly the way Canik does with most of their handguns especially anything made for competition. They sort of claim when you walk out of the store with your new weapon you are more or less ready to go straight to the range and compete. Both are Turkish companies as well. If they are affiliated in same way and the air rifles are anything like the Canik handguns they should be outstanding rifles. I’m old school and have always only owned guns with hammers when it comes to semi auto pistols. I can’t trust a striker fired pistol , I’ve tried to overcome it but I can’t do it with the exception of one pistol, a Canik TP9-SFx. Niksan has a duel tank rifle that comes in 22 and 25 calibers, the pricing is so reasonable I’m having a hard time not going to the site and ordering one of them. 850 cc’s in the two tanks on the rifle. It has an interesting sliding lever that is some kind of shot power adjustment. As near as I could tell it allows you to shoot at a lower pressure or at least lessen the amount of air the shot uses But it’s not a regulator. They are about cheap enough in price that if it works at all and doesnt leak it is a good deal🤣🤣🤣

They both come from turkey and are made by the turkish people. Not sure.If they are from the same company, I also have two Caniks lol. My guess is that Kervan arms owns Niksan, or they're all the same stuff coming from different names. If you were to look at the blocks, triggers and safety they looks damn near identical. Honestly the fact that it's advertised as such and that they provide similar things could just be the way Turkey does it 🤷‍♂️ I love their TP9 elite though.

I never thought of that, maybe it’s a common thing to sell stuff with everything you need to go with it in the box. It is a good way to do it , as long as the right accessories are in there. I never liked strikers, I still don’t really except for Canik. My edc is a TP9-SFx. I wanted a polymer frame and those and also hammer fired won’t work . So someone convinced me to try a Canik and when I seen the pricing on them it was hard not to really. Before I could decide on a model to get the SFx sort of fell into my lap for really really cheap. The trigger and the triggers reset are just simply fabulous, I have a holosun in green mounted on it , it has a dot and a 32 moa circle and you can use either one or both together. I run just the 32 moa circle with no dot. It took carrying the SFx around for over a year with an empty chamber for me to trust it enough to keep a round chambered. I really prefer a de cocked hammer over a chambered round. That is actually a fairly expensive set up to acquire these days. The Canik is reliable and shoots like a dream. Now I don’t think I would give it up. Anyway, I really like the looks of that dual tank rifle and I need a smaller caliber air gun to mess around with. I’m sort of new to airguns and I only have a 50 caliber Megalodon as far as air guns go. Which I love I have to admit, it’s an awesome weapon. Now that I finally have a reliable way to make hpa I want to add 1 or 2 more air guns to my safe. The dual tank Niksan looks like a good one to plink from a bench with maybe. I think I would also like to have a bull pup type of set up. That power adjust lever on the Niksan also interests me. I didn’t see a review yet with anyone really trying to utilize that. Might be a gimmick or something useful. Just like Canik, when you look at that Niksan price tag and all that you get and a hard case for the rifle as well , you almost can’t not try one. I think I’ve talked myself into it, 😂

As a general observer of Air Gun and watching these marketed brands that carry no history here domestically, opinion falls in line to where Country of origin manufactured.
Sadly the TURKS among some others don't rank very well at all even tho products appear nicely made, branding initially appears well supported etc ....
In the past 10+ years the track record of the Air Guns, Support after the sale, QC in general has made at least myself, very wary of investing into any brand of AG originating from said part of the world and other parts too :cautious:

There is a long line of AG's that have come ... consumed, required design improvement or refinement, or just broken, worn out or need parts end users simple are unable to get or so limited in what one may scrounge up the effort is hardly worth the time or $$ invested.

Don't hate the messenger

This is exactly what has kept me from getting a kral empire xs that tiny package just looks amazing. But every reviews show that they need a good amount of work to get it to where it should be.

I now own 2 Niksan. .22 Ozark and as of Wednesday a .25 Escalade (the dual tank). $390 with free shipping on DonnyFL was too hard to pass up. As for the guns, they are great. Nice groups at 45 yards and consistent. The .22 is my main squirrel gun and loves JTS 25.39gr pellets. Only issue I've had was a drain plug that was cross threaded and leaked (and that could have been me). The Pellet Shop had DonnyFL send me a new block for shipping cost. Which I still haven't installed. I got it to seal so I'll change it next time I bleed it down.

Far as ive been able to tell the FUD about Turkish guns is out of date. Only been into PCP for 2-3 years. Own several Hatsan and now Niksan. My only complaint is the weight of the Hatsan Semi. My Invader has issues but those are self inflicted and it works fine as a bolt action. But zero issues with reliability in the course of 6 rifles now. 3 of which get a lot of rounds through them. With Escalade soon joining my Ozark, Barrage and Bullmaster in the Turkish parade.

I want an ELFw and an Escalade or an ozark. I own one pcp an AEA Megalodon that’s 50 caliber , I’ve had it for less than one year. The only issues I’ve had were due to my own ignorance and thankfully i haven’t hurt the gun(yet) I think I’ve learned enough at this point it may be safe. Since the rifle I strugged through getting a dependable solution to HPA , started with small compressor that failed , tried a yong heng type compressor that failed quicker than the first one although it was much faster . Now finally I have a Tuxing diving air rig that has the high and low pressure compressor separated rather than stacked and so far so good. It makes dry air reasonably quickly. Got a couple of carbon fiber tanks off eBay and a couple of fill valves. All set up to tether or just fill in the field. Now I need more guns🤣🤣 I did not expect to enjoy shooting the airgun as much as I do. I just got a DonnyFL Emperor on thursday. It was a good accessory to add. My Meg is 50 cal with dual tanks sort of like that Escalade but it’s just 600 cc total air storage. The Escalade is 750 and around half the diameter as a 50 cal. that will be a lot of shots on a single fill. Is that power transfer switch anything useful? I find the concept interesting.

My Ozark and Escalade both seem to thrive on the heavy pellets. I was at the Range yesterday with the Escalalade. I slowed down just to see. 3 rounds that I got on target. 3 is about all I can do with a bipod. Old, nerve damage and i shake. That was H&N .25 Barracuda 30.86gr.

The AEA Terminator .30 was not nearly as accurate but oh damn was it fun. RSO came by on break. Offered to let him put a magazine down range. I guess that is not allowed. Traded emails so we might meet up on a Wednesday morning when they do Air guns only. He liked $0.05 a round. Did not like the weight of the rifles.

That’s a good 50 yd airgun group. I have never shot from a bipod . Just never had anything that had a bipod on it or would even attach to one. I do have a bog pod , one of those tri pods with the head mounted that will squeeze about any gun and hold it. It works okay , it’s light weight and more of something to use in a blind, not really rock steady. I’m going for the Escalade probably at the end of this week. A 25 caliber is what I wanted. Looking forward to a smaller caliber pcp . I only have the Megalodon , it is a beast of an airgun and fun to shoot but it is 50 cal, so about 16 shots per air charge and plinking Hornady round lead balls is still around 12 cents per shot. I’m going to try to get set up to be able to cast the 50 cal stuff. Cast then swag I guess to get consistent diameter. Maybe to involved , I was going to see what it would take to be able to do it myself. It will be nice to just shoot a while and not worry so much about air. I may go for an ELFw after the Escalade , at 330 bucks with all you get with it, it’s kind of hard not to get one really. I’m trying to jump on these before the economy goes down the tubes. I’m scared it’s going to take a dive before long. I hope not but I figure I better do this now while I think I can , lol
