Just had a squirrel on top of bird feeder. Wife not home. I’d let them be if on the ground.
So anyway went down cellar and grabbed my revere 25. Empty, no air or ammo. Gassed up with bottle and loaded mag with Aea 25.3 s
slowly opened window. Put rifle on ledge , now at this range because of scope height I should be shooting a couple inches low.
Didnt take that into consideration. Aimed at neck up through head at this angle. Let shot go... boom whole thing squirrel and feeder
crashes to ground. Squirrel twitching in snow. I slipped my boots on and went to get.
Not there ! What ! No blood on snow, looked for a blood trail. W T F went to retrieve feeder …thin steel wire supporting it cut.
Well as I brought into house to repair I got a hell of a laugh out of it. Haa he just ran away as I went to take picture.
