Here we go again! SHOT SHOW 2025

I was not at the show but a friend was and sent me these pics of the brochures looks like Macavity is upping their game!! The new MA3 and MA 8. Around $500 for the 3 no pricing on the 8 yet apparently.

Macavity got a lot of grief for the flimsy stock in the MA2, even from me, but the gun has the smoothest shot cycle of any of the sub-$500 guns. With the better stock on the MA3 and externally adjustable reg, these will be very popular with those who actually give them a try. I will believe the MA8 when I see it in production, looks like a vaporware product, it's so far out there.

It seems that everyone but SPA got scared off by FX. SPA prints right on their guns they had the first patent for the over the barrel air cylinder and the guys name who got issued it. They are not having any of it from anyone. The Barra 250z is a variant of the SPA M30 and the patent story is printed on that also.

Andy's Airgun Review (AAR) states only external difference is longer top rail and larger trigger guard opening for glove wearers. Internal changes; 1) Enhanced block/receiver w/re-worked trigger and firing mechanism, 2) Improved firing valve, 3) Simplified Power Plenum for better airflow, 4) New regulator, 5) Upgraded hammer system, 6) Factory depinger. WM
Also 400mm barrel in the compact over the 360mm barrel from previous.

The ma8 looks like it will a huge hit if it’s sub 1k. If they have a 9mm version of this with 40-50 shots per fill I am totally all in!

There is the Alteros M24 and Remington Vought too that are still available. It seems like FX only scared off the Stealthhawk.

I'd really like to know the specifics. That JTS was the one for me. I'm not a fan of the pistol grip tach look of the 250z, but it looks like what I want if I can procure the funds

the Barra 250z in my opinion would look much better in a conventional stock.. I suppose if you could put a folder on it it might be ok in the tactical but I still prefer old fashioned..

I actually don’t like old fashioned but I agree with you here. The Barra has an ugly look in tactical
