New to the Forums

Welcome...! If you've been away for 15 years, you're in for a bit of a shock. PCP's have gotten affordable for the masses, new ways of filling them... lots of innovation has happened during the last 15 years in airguns.

Grab your favorite drink, get comfy and read and ask away. Not sure if you were in any forums back then, but seems after much ebb and flow, AGN has rose to the top far as airgun forums so you're in the right place.

Yes, sir... this hobby is only limited by your wallet... But at least with PCP, it's easier than ever to get in to with more budget friendly options than you saw 15 years ago.

Also, of note... there is an airgun show in Hickory NC around the Fall time. Several folks from GA make the drive so might be something you want to plan for. Always plenty of eye candy there and a place to shoot and try out said eye candy.

Hello everyone,

Getting back into airgun fun after about a 15 year hiatus. Kids are grown and looking to start doing some squirrel hunting again down in GA. Looking forward to see what has changed and what is still the same.
Welcome back
1) PCPs and compressors have cheaper options
2) many more slug options if that is useful to you. (I don’t think many shooters have great success shooting slugs unless they buy a slug specific setup so if you decide to jump into that I recommend you don’t half-a$$ it)
3) suppressors are no longer called lead dust collectors even though they do. In the US you should still be mindful to not run afoul of firearm suppressor regs.
4) JSB pellets now have serious competition from JTS, QYS, and AEA, if you’re a pellet nerd. RWS and H&N are still doing their thing. JSB isn’t quite as high quality as before but still a solid option.
5) more bullpup and chassis stocks and fewer wooden stock options
6) fewer springer models.
