Well as my first compressor I went with the GX CS4- so far really liking it, performs very well, fills my Umarex Gauntlet 2 SL pretty fast, initial dead head test on the supplied factory hook up hose was 24 seconds to 300 bar, hope it keeps performing well, is there a temperature gauge for this unit.

Congratulations on your new compressor. Being air independent is awesome. I would not worry about high temperatures unless you are back to back filling 60 minute tanks. I run my compressor without a load after filling a tank for about thirty minutes or until everything is cool to the touch, which ever comes first.

I never thought about checking Amazon. I just ordered a couple from AliExpress and they were higher than Amazon's 5 pack.
Amazon's price is cheaper than buying a couple of batteries.

Thanks, really enjoying it, I shouldnt have to worry about temperature, I wont be doing back to back fill ups, I also let mine run without a load to cool, thanks very much for the info.

I wouldnt know that I dont have a 6.8l tank, I have a 4.7l coming in a few days will update when I get it.

I am not sure what a 6.8l tank converts to in 'Merica tanks. My compressor is pretty slow. It takes me 30 to 60 minutes to fill my tanks. I check on them every twenty minutes or so. Then I let it rest for 30 minutes or so until cool to the touch. Being air independent is awesome.

I just bought a CS-4 used refurbished on ebay for $350.00 and shipping..So far i love it...I say this after having a regular yong heng and rebuilding it more times than i like to say..The CS-4 is filling my 30 min scba tank to 300 bar easily.Maybe 30 min or so from 3000 psi...The air is much cleaner than my yong heng..My yong heng air was oilly...Makeing me expienience vavle dumps on my custom condors...THe valve dumps went away with the CS4..it is also very quiet i dont mind it running in the house...

The factory lists the fill rate for a CS-4 as 11 liters per minute. There are 2108 liters of compressed air in a 6.8L tank filled to 310 bar. 150 to 300 liter PSI fill therefore should take 86 minutes.

I have a new GX CS4-i. Mine was delivered with a big air bubble in the grease pot. Other posts on this forum have also identified air bubbles in CS4 grease pots. This takes seconds to inspect and minutes to correct.

I will check mine out, Ive also been told to unscrew the grease pot and add grease to it, sometimes needed when you, will check mine for that also. Some grease needed when new- this could be the case sometimes when new- good idea to check.

I received my order yesterday. The two-pack turned out to be a one-pack with one battery loose in the package, the other nowhere to be found.
No openings on the package. Sent them a note so hopefully they will make it right.

Hello. I picked up one of these compressors as well, finally got around to getting it up and running today.
I did numerous cycles of fill/flush with distilled water while leaning it at about every angle to burp it. Finished with adding about 1/4 cup of antifreeze (Michigan) to what is about its 2 cups of coolant total.
Pressure test: good.
So I moved on to topping off my M4. That took 5 1/2 minutes. I let it run for 5 minutes after to cool down, hoping doing so will help prolong its life!
The gauge on the compressor and the gauge on the gun agree on the rated pressure so that’s good.
I’m looking forward to this thing getting lots of use over the summer! I’m retired & done with hand pumping anything haha
Oh I also just took my Ninja bottle from a bit over half full to 4,250 psi, that took 10 minutes. Very nice. Nothing was even warm afterwards other than the wires that connect to the inverter & they were just mildly warm.
