FX FX impact with little shot power

Hello shooters! I have one of the first FX Impact made FX smooth twist 30 Cal it use to shoot like a dream. Last year it started lobbing pellets, So I installed a new seal kit. My gauge on the bottle reads 200bar the regulator gauge reads 130bar did a leak test from butt to muzzle even let set for 24hrs shows no leaks and gauges never lost any bars. finally shot it 30yrds watched the pellet drop at the front of the target. how disappointing. If any one knows or can tell me how to resolve this issue. Sure will appreciated it thank you!

I sure do thank you two guys for chiming in quickly like you did! Truth be told, I make a good living working on all makes & models of centerfire firearms, So when I dissemble any firearm and resemble there is no such thing as it being dirty or bent or broken so that leaves the C1 adjustment Ill be honest you guys I don't know the first thing about PCP designs or functions, but I am learning by putting new seals from head to toe in this impact without having any leaks the first time, But i truly enjoy new firearm education so what do I look for in my C1 adjustment. Sincerely Me

RC! I left it on line 4 because of all that heard. To be honest I thought about unscrewing it to the so called imaginary line & started with my tuning process since I had no seal leakage anywhere, I was hoping the seals took care of my issue. Boy was that slap in the face, by the way i just got into RC planes because there electric & affordable now Loving It !

Truly enjoyed the vid RC I assumed that when the valve adjuster went on it was ok. One thing i ask & you apparently understand these FX Impacts, as you know my MK1 has a spring loaded valve rod so when i pull my valve rod out to put the protected vise grips on it for my C1 adjustment that wont damage the? Ill call it the valve rod return spring will it. THX!

It could be the gauge is bad and the reg is not what you think it is. Take the tank off and swap gauges to test.
Did you ever change the power setting with the gun cocked? That can screw things up. Does cocking seem to take as much force? And does the hammer seem to hit as hard?
IF the plenum is at pressure then it's got to be hammer/valve related.

fellow greetings I remember you Big HUN. I know right if it was centerfire I would be that 10 minute pro. In a PCP world i need to get some experience.

I just had to tell you RC!!!!! Its dark here but for poops & giggles I turned the valve adjuster out to imaginary line 6 before I boxed it up for shipping And the FX went off with some serious authority this infarct the second shot it blew a 30 Cal pellet almost clean through 1/2" piece of pine board. Cannot wait to coronagraph tomorrow & get on with my first ever tuning experience. also my friend I took lessons flying ultralight fixed wings & hang gliders some yrs ago I love anything that fly's

I was thinking the same thing RC & Big HUNN ! glad you chimed in. So in gun college we were taught a special thought process. lets see if we can figure this out together. No leaks found anywhere after 24 hrs. Even after the FX went off last night with fantastic authority. So that tells me I have a clue how to put seals all through the gun correctly my first time which was intimidating for me ! And for me just to back out the valve adjuster a couple of imaginary lines and have such a significant increase in pellet speed tells me we found the culprit. my valve rod or valve adjuster, which consist of a seals, valve seat, ,springs, hammer, C1 and a long plastic cylindrical piece in between valve rod and hammer spring, which if I had to guess probably keeps the spring in alignment and off the valve rod from damage to that precision rod. So we learned some great things to ease my concerns,#1 The valve rod is seated all the way back in the power block in the hole, and the C1 is measured within correct specs. so length on the valve rod is not the issue, #2 My alignment issue in probe or transfer port or the barrel which I was really afraid of is not a issue either, because if any air passage's was out of alignment I would have never gained pressure where needed, AR 15 rifles are similar I see a lot of it from clients ! If gas ports are out of alignment its never going to function properly unless corrected. So ill go chronograph my FX and get the new results and let you know. If you guys can think of something I missed because yes its has a ton of power again but its still not correct but dammit were getting close(y). Oh yeah I learned one more thing this FX is one of the newer FX1 it has only one valve rod spring & the C1 has no set screw & mine also has a serial # on the frame by the grip which makes total sense to me because when they came out with the impact I waited to purchase mine after they got the bugs out of a new design.
