Had it less than a month. Not any complete fills yet. Thanks for all the fed back everyone.
I'm leaning toward the 042 now.
Blackdog899 how long have you had yours , and do you fill tanks with it
I figured if fill a 8.6 liter tank up I should get 15 + fills on my Zelos 500 cc bottle.
I seen some compressor heads that look like yours on the big green tank. This is my compressor I got back in about 1986 when Gemco went out of business. I change the oil only with non detergent oil. It still runs today although slightly noisier than back then.

Below is a compressor that my shop used for about 4 or 5 years before someone decided to use the same 0/20 synthetic that we use in the cars as the replacement oil for the compressor. It worked fine before the 0/20 and worked good for a while with the 0/20 until it started blowing oil into the air and developed a rod knock.

I had plans to put a new compressor on top of this thing and reuse it, but it has not happen yet.

half the price of what ? An 012 ?A couple things here. First I seen a oil water filter the gold kind for HP about 7 inches long at Walmart for only $25.80 it appears to be the same one on Amazon for $70+. It shows in the pictures a sweat desiccant, but in the pictures of what it comes with does not show that , so does anyone know where to get this sweat desiccant from. #2 I found another Tuxing compressor on e Bay it is a single cylinder also water , and air cooled.
It has a air flow rate of 35 liters per minute a little slower than the twin.
With a 1,800 copper wire motor , and is suitable for large capacity tank. A bit slower , but 1/2 the price. I did not see a manufacturer warranty , or a email extended warranty offered. Does anyone have this model , and is it reliable.? I could not find an advertised model number. Thanks.
A big surprise for me when I switched to the TXED-M042 was how much quieter it was than my original cheapo yong heng knockoff. Not that the 042 is quiet it was that those single lung are LOUD.The single cylinder I was referring to on e Bay is $209. , and on the same site
" Not the Tuxing site" the 012 is $399 on e Bay , I was off a Little bit 1/2 of 399 is 199 .50 , so I was off by $9.50.
Any way the Tuxing site does not offer a lot of things like eBay like free 30 day returns, and extended protection plans.
Both machines will do the same thing just the twin does it faster. As long as it works good why should pay nearly twice as much. I can't use a hand pump , and don't want one. I was asking for help if anyone had one of these single cylinder compressors , and how dependable they are. Not to be ran down for being a cheap person. I'm just a thrifty shopper , and I have all the time in the world. I can wait a few extra minutes to fill a tank. Please don't reply to one of my post to run me down when I asking for help. God bless you.
I guess you were referring to me, I don’t know how you think I was running you down. I’m duly impressed as to the inexpensive compressors available. You mentioned 1/2 the price of an 012 , being I’ve been keeping up with theThe single cylinder I was referring to on e Bay is $209. , and on the same site

I apologize blackdog899. I took it the wrong way.. My final decision is to get the 012 then add the gold 7" filter from Walmart in line. It should be ok for I need. Do you know where to get the little beads called sweat desiccant.Same as a car engine. The majority from initial runs. Will also happen throughout the life of the engine. With the overall use of aluminum for the cases and heads it can only come from the crank and rods same as compressors.
