Diana This just in from the Netherlands... Diana 35

Dealt with a great guy in the Netherlands. Made a deal, and a couple of weeks later, It's Christmas in February... The metal is nearly flawless and it looks like I can simply buff the stock back into shape. Thanks Bjorn!!!! This thing shoots strong!

That's a great rifle! A bazillion 35's were made over the years, but seems like you seldom see them for sale because the owners just don't let go of 'em. Can't wait for the video. :)

The 35 and its little brother the model 27, have been favorites of mine for many years. Not flashy to look at, but top quality where it counts. They have the longest-lived OEM leather piston seals and mainsprings I've ever seen, and the ingenious ball-sear trigger gives a very fine pull (but don't take one apart without a little research first, lol!).

The Diana model 35 is a really nice rifle, I have 2 of them, one a rough one I restored and one near mint. That one you got looks very nice, what is that on the butt stock, just some staining? Rebuilt both of mine and they are strong shooters. Seems alot of these are missing one of the sights which are hard to find today. These have nice triggers as well!

That's a combination of surface wear and foreign crud. Pretty sure that it'll buff out with a little pumice & mineral oil. Back in the eighties I had a Hy-Score model 809 which is the same rifle. I foolishly sold it, along with all of my other springers when I dove in head first into PCPs. That lasted about ten years and I got bored with the "sterile" experience and I've come full circle. I've still got a couple of PCPs to unload. But the piston gun collection has really brought much enjoyment.

My dad had a Winchester branded Diana 35, a Model 435. I borrowed it a couple times for successful squirrel hunts within sight of Cullen Davis' mansion on the Trinity River in Fort Worth (yes, the mansion he murdered his wife, her daughter and lover in). I knew the older daughter (that he didn't murder).

Strong being a relative term, Diana 35s are only strong shooters compared to Diana 35s that are weak. Expect velocities in the 600s. Nevertheless there is a lot to like in them.
