Daisy 1894 How often to shoot- my collectible

Hello. Have a Daisy 1894 Sears Roebuck Golden Boy that I keep in a case. How often should I take out and put some Pell Oil in barrel.

I see it everyday day and at the point in life 70+, that I think; “ What the hell am I saving it for- shoot the damn thing , and enjoy it!”

Also got an original from 1961 that dad gave me. Got it restored but same deal- in the case- shot it : right!

What say the board?

In my opinion if its been shot once its a used gun. Theres no difference between 1 shot and 1000 shots. I would take it out and enjoy it. I would not go stomping through the brush and hunt with it but i would use it carefully and appreciate the beauty of a fine relic.

1894's have to be shot regularly or the seal can take a set and not operate any more.

I would use it. Maybe not bang it around the woods but def shoot it. There aren’t a lot of even collectible guns I know of that are life changing money.

SHOOT THEM BOTH ! what is the sense of not shooting unless they would be appreciated and shot by a family or best friend . but only if they would shoot them .
