Im stuck on what to get

I have been looking at a new air rifle and I am stuck on what to get. I am new enough here I cant message anyone in the sales forms. So i have been looking other places as well. I have about 1200 to spend. Ive been looking at the umarex gauntlet 2, the hatsan blitz, anything aea really but im really looking for more than one gun to maximize my bang for buck. I would be willing to pay more im just not confident in my knowledge of pcp air rifles. Air rifles are all i can use to hunt or shoot and i never thought id like them as much as i do. I currently own a gamo swam .22, hatsan flash .25, and hatsan bull boss .25. i have a umarex te4 smith and wasson and glock 17 as well. thank you

Come on Matt, I’ll bet off the top of your head you could come up with two fine rifles besides Niksan ! For $1200
ooo scratch that I just reread.
by the way do you have the throne. The Reximex rpa was my first pcp and I’m liking it more and more.
while searching for something comparable realized there’s nothing to be had at that price. I know leaks were a complaint
mine hasn’t since a couple weeks old. So I’m liking Reximex.

@madman68320 Yoi may want to look through this thread for ideas. Some newer air rifles have come out since this thread was started so it’s not comprehensive but it may give you some ideas.

I would stay away from Hatsun and AEA personally. Take a look at the Air Venturi Avenge X series and the Stoeger XM1 Series. For a compressor a GX CS3 or CS4 is a good first starter choice. Top with an Athlon or Arken and you can be under budget. I like 22Cal the most but 177 and 25Cal are also good coices really.

Ok but that makes your suggestion over budget too lol. Only difference is you get two Benjis for one AvengeX. I never advised anyone to buy the most expensive versions of anything. The reality is you can get a pcp, GX compressor, Arken/Athlon for well under $1200. I dont understand why you want to argue semantics. 😉

I have a Gauntlet and a Gauntlet 2, both bought here in the classifieds and both in .25. The 2 was good immediately and the other did need a bit of work but for less than $600 total both are very good shooters. You can spend more and get better but from a practical point of view I got what I was after.

Check out Airgun Revisions for low buck guns. I picked up an Akela in 177 and a tune kit. Right around 250 with shipping. A little messing around and I'm getting 120 shots all in the 875fps range with 10.65 baracudas. Out of stock right now but you just have to keep checking back in.
Or just post more and hit the classifieds. 😃
