Help GX CS4i Metallic Clicking Noise Under Load

Mine makes a noise. Kind of hard to say if it's anything close to what you're hearing, but mine almost sounds like a valve or diaphram closing....if I use my imagination.

The thing is, w this compressor opearting as quiet as it does, I can actually hear it function. So it's pretty easy to "hear things" and get concerned about sounds that would otherwise be drowned out by the normal operating noise of any other brand (looking at you, Yong Heng)

Is this the first time using it out of the box?

Edit: I did a fast search and found this poster on another forum post this as he was concerned as well...

"It isn't that noisy, but it whizzes like a star wars fazer slowed down. It also has a rhythmic thud, and a metalic clanking sound.
I was expecting it to purr like a kitten. It really doesn't sound very refined to me."

Does the quote above sound about right?

Thanks everyone for the reply. I went back to the AEAC review of the JTS Comp 100 / GX CS4I. One scene is a bottle fill and Steve lets it run with no narration. You can hear the metallic noise under load. I picked it up on one or two other YouTube videos as well. Most reviewers either cut out the fill audio or narrate over it. It's nice Steve picked up on the noise and let us hear what we would be getting. Mine doesn't prevent conversation but the clickity clack although rhythmic is irritating as heck.
