AEA and JTS

Both are extremely consistent pellets in head size and weight . Some JTS shape wise are to me indistinguishable from there AEA counterparts and some in there respective weights have slight but noticeable design differences. I would not be surprised at all if they where made in the same manufacturing facility and I would also not be surprised if both brands where designed by to different groups. I have been very impressed with both JTS and AEA don't even want to bother with other brands any more.

I shoot .177 and .22 the top performers for me have been the 10gr , 18gr and my favorite new hunting pellet the 21.53gr semi-dome , they stop dead after impact.

It's my opinion that these 2 brands are similar to what JSB does with Daystate and FX brand pellets that run from a dedicated die inside the same factory.
I believe they have the same lead formula, but have some slightly different shapes in the same weights
The JTS 22.07 have a "nipple" on the center of it's head, while the AEA 21.9 do not...but fly similar
Both have a tendancy to foul the barrel much quicker than other brands and require a little more maintenance(barrel cleaning) for high percission

Agree. Actually all the newer AEA 21.9 have that same “nipple” and are identical to the JTS 22.07.

I thought that was where the weight difference was by adding that tiny amount on the head.
Yea, the first sleeve I got didn’t have the “nipple”. The latest sleeve they are identical in all measurements and weight. And they shoot exactly the same. So for some pellets, the AEA and JTS are clones. In .30 caliber same deal with the 45 grain versions - identical in dimensions and performance.

USAID cancelled my $21M grant to see what the real differences are if any. I guess now we’ll never know. They have yet to cancel my $17M grant to study why the chicken crossed the road…
I have some experience working on useless scientific studies. Please consider me if you need a lackey. I'm willing to slur my words and walk like a hunchback.
