That looks like a 90° turn with some fancy mirrors. Have you made that in real life before? Really cool!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 and was thinking I'd print a case for it to mount that way, just glue or make the case part of the design.

I'm new at 3d printing but really interested in making my own designs. I have like zero experience using Blender, FreeCAD, etc however, so if there were something really simple that'd be great.

I've got some hyper pla and petg I could use.

Maybe I'll look into designing the thing sometime in the future, as I may have a need for something similar myself...

I think the problem with ones I've seen at least are that rifle scopes need eye relief whereas a spotting scope doesn't.

Yeah mine has 3-3.4 inch eye relief. Also has those buttons for the illumination so that's the other obstacle for the scope phone mount.

I would like to record the pellet/slug flight for tuning purposes only. My reason doesn't justify buying a new camera.
I have two DSLR as well and a bunch of higher quality lenses, the smaller camera may work but still heavy.
I was tinkering about a scope mount, but a Canon DSLR is heavy to mount it inline, and my Samsung S23 video doesn't have a recording speed high enough to capture the pellet flight anomalies.
I have a nice birding - spotting scope, but the power is less then my X50.
I am kind of hanging on a thin string with this my project.

40mm gun scope android phone holder by craget

This is a simple phone holder for any 40mm gun scope.You will need 4X 4mm counter sunk nut and bolts and 1X 6mm nut and bolt, pref wing nuts.The tube.stl and tube holder.stl will need to be glued together.
