Today’s lesson was more pleasant.Today I learned that buying pellets on eBay may not be such a great deal.
i was shooting way too many fliers and was thinking WTH. although I don’t normally weigh and sort pellets, I broke out the pellet scale.
Apparently an eBay seller buys lots of pellets and sorts them all out and keeps the good ones for himself and repackaged the losers to look new and resold at a great price $$
I had 10.3’s and two different types of 13.4’s mixed in the same tins….all way out of spec; as in too light or too heavy, 6 tins later I got the idea.
As I bought them 4 months ago…. Oh well.
still good for plinking.
From now on I’m sticking with the big box stores Or my most reputable trusted pellet sellers.
@steve123Today’s lesson was more pleasant.
I learned that the absolute quietest moderator on my .177 Redwolf HFT rig is the Weihrauch….. only hear the solenoid click. And I have tried every possible moderator comercially available. Sometimes silence is the best noise we can make.
See if they have a multifill discount and talk it up with the staff, ask about dive classes and the like. Theres a decent chance they'll fill your tank for free if they see you as a potential customer. When I used to dive a lot I got about 90% of my fills for free, which sometimes was 6 or more fills per week and it wasn't because I was some super cool guy or anything. I just bought a lot of dive gear from them.I learned some good news today!
There is a dive shop 4 miles away that will fill my (future) 100 cu-ft tank to 4500 psi for $15. They have "every adapter" and are open every day except Wednesday.
Compressors are expensive…See if they have a multifill discount and talk it up with the staff, ask about dive classes and the like. Well I learned an odd lesson todayCompressors are expensive…
paying my fair share…. is well… fair.
Must have been good! What was it?I learned that responding to a WTS in the Classified within 8 minutes of it's posting may not be fast enough.. bummer.
Well, at least one other person thought so. It was an NOE mold. I might still have a shot.Must have been good! What was it?
I'm sure I've done that probably more than once.Today I learned that buying pellets on eBay may not be such a great deal.

I go in 3/11 to find out if they can save me. I drop a lot of pellets amongst everything I touch.that and more... occupational hazard.
