AEA .35 cal 110gr pellets

Wanted to share some results with these pellets. Won’t discus the gun being used right now, but never shooting a .35 cal before this, I have been quite impressed!

This being a good friend of mine’s gun, he asked me to be a part of this tuning process. So far we have shot 15 tins trying different pressures, hammer tension with varying results.

We had good success at 763fps at 50 and 75yds, but not pass that. What we found was some spiraling past 75yds at speeds below about 810fps. After a lot more tuning, we came upon 823. This speed produced some ridiculously great results at 50, 75, and 95yds. 95yds is the furthest we have. If you do your part, this speed was producing just over quarter size groups at 95yds. Wanting to push both the gun and pellet a little more, I convinced him to see how much more we could get, and see if there is another sweet spot for the pellet. Holy cow, I’m glad we did. We stumbled upon 843fps. We shot 3 tins at this speed. Over 2 nine shot magazines for 18 shots, we are seeing an average speed of 843fps, .7 SD, 2fps extreme spread, and .064 BC!

Our last groups of the day, he shot 9 shots and I shot the last 9. I picked a spot just under him. Using what ever you call the app he has, he picked a spot right in the middle to measure both our groups and this is what we produced below.

I'm building a BR gun using these. I've managed an 850ffps tune, but haven't accuracy tested yet. I'm glad to see they can be accurate enough at 100yds.
We are still going to do some fine tuning. We want to try a heavier hammer weight so we can get the hammer spring backed off, and also see if a faster speed is even more accurate with no spiraling or flyers.

We haven’t held for wind yet, or shot any cards for score. That is coming hopefully on the next outing or two.

I personally want to get some of the 81gr and see how they do compared to the 110gr.
