FWB Robert Law ARH 120 stock

eBay find
Super cool stock.

Nice overall condition. Finish looks to have darkened.
9 coats of epoxy finish? Has some interesting grain and fiddleback.
Needs a new Pachmayr pad. Nice Pachmayr quick disconnect swivel mounts. Nice because I don’t want a sling. So I can remove them and just leave the bases. Hard to find, Pachmayr quick disconnect swivels are definitely cool.
Leave as is or restore? 🤔

If I had that there would be a barreled action mated up and ready to roll, Yay!

That's what a purist would do. Definitely needs a pad. Somebody turned the screws without greasing the screwdriver and the holes are torn up. It's dry rotted anyway and it's a Pachmayr White Line that is still available.
Original finish is claimed to be 9 coats of epoxy finish whatever that means. Has turned dark and I noticed it scratches off very easily. Going over it might not be good because it may not stick and not a very good substrate.

Nice video and love the music. You scored yourself a beauty there. Just need a non Beeman marked action to drop in it and you got yourself a vintage classic piece of airgun history! Made my morning.

Beautiful. Were the ARH stocks made for Law by Richards Microfit, as were the Beeman Custom Shop stocks? That stock you showed at the beginning of the topic sure looks like a Beeman Custom Shop stock?
Yes, both Robert Law and Robert Beeman obtained their early custom stocks from Richards. I have a suspicion that later versions of Beemans "Custom Shop" stocks, like the Fancy Deluxe and Gary Goudy style, also came from Richards and just finished in house.
