Damn. Sorry it's not what you expected. Looking at past walnut versions of FX rifles, I've never seen any that really stood out. Can't say the same for Daystate, Air Arms, Turkish airguns, and some Korean airguns. Can you return it for an exchange to a better grade?

Sorry, for the let down. Kind of like the look myself, more utilitarian than fancy, "FX" logo and checkering are cool. Prefer synthetics but could live with that. WM

Grading wood grain is very subjective and personal, it can be a real bummer if expectations done align. Buying, sight-unseen online is always a risky thing. Sorry that you are disappointed.
I like a lot of character in wood so knots and wild grain are my thing. Still, in it's clean lines, that's nice furniture you have there. By any chance was the wrong grade stock shipped?
My supplier knows my preferences and, in past has been very helpful with upgrades. Maybe your supplier can find you a more suitable stock and arrange an exchange or adjust the price to reflect the grade of the wood.

Gone are the days of the FX Tarantula stocks. I'm picky about my stocks so I'd be a little let down but that does seem nicer then alot of the DRS stocks I've seen.

Rifle looks good, call them back, maybe they forgot to select a better one for your order. Airarms provides some really great stocks randomly..

Thats a $300+ supposed upgrade from the 'Classic'... I'd contact the seller and send it back.
When paying a premium for wood (I'm referring to powder burners IME), I would not pay an upgrade unless a picture of the stock was provided.
If nothing else your photo has killed a lot of DRS upgraded wood sales.

It looks nice. It’s not bad by any means, just not jaw dropping.
I’d call where you purchased, just make sure you got the correct rifle just in case, sent you the standard instead of the upgraded walnut stock.

Straight grained walnut like that is more stabile than more figured grain patterns. Figured wood in furniture gets stained because otherwise there would be complaints about color variation (blotchy). I don't see why you should not ask about an exchange.

I’d be kind of pissed too, but thats why I’ve always bought guns I could physically hold and see before expecting a great piece. Unless of course it was a Weatherby Classic.

A lot of the you tube reviewers got stocks sent to them on their guns that look like they should be show pieces and then say they just got lucky with random picks, BS. Its almost like bait/switch the reviewers get random high grade stocks but when you order one specifically you get a run of the mill walnut stock.
I would definitely be pissed off and would ask for a exchange and want to see pics of the new stock 1st, or get my money back.

The fact that that stock was chosen for a grade 2 to add the cap piece to shows what a scam that is. You paid $300 for the end cap. I'd return and get my money back.

Yeah its scheezy to hand pick the best looking stock and send out those samples to your promoters and act like it was random. This is part of why I stopped watching all the promoter vids.

Yeah,I’ve made the calls. If what I received is the norm for grade 2 stocks I want to get the standard model and a refund on the difference. Trouble is I ordered from one place and they didn’t have so it was shipped from distributor.
