Sure makes me n-N-NERVOUS to butcher a $2000 rifle

AnG has anyone mentioned you are not quite right? If so, I just don't see it! Be Well Brother, Bandito

You hit the nail on the head, Dito; SQUARELY!😂 Being Texan, I'm often described by fellow Texans as, "He ain't quite right, if you know what I mean", or "He's a few bricks short of a load", or "Well, bless his little ole heart", or "All hat; no cattle". 🤠

Unfortunately only those (more flattering) assessments can get past the censors when quoted verbatim. However, hopefully a paraphrased summation of the 'less flattering' descriptions might also get through. They go something like this-

"🤬😡😤😱🫣🤯🤔😲😵‍💫🙄👎✋"

By the way, I suspect the moderators massaged your post (above) to pass muster. Thank you for the "Get well Brother". FYI, careful with that Brother business; you might be mistaken for my evil twin (HarryAssMan)! 👹

@AirNGasman Dr. Ronnie “the Butcher” is at it again. You’re killing me over here!! 😱 Must thou keep circumsising thou Brococks? I hope a trophy and check comes with that operation brother. I’m actually surpised you aren’t partnered with some company designing quality competition air pistols by now.

To date, she has captured a few awards and gift certificates, E. And to allay your concerns, I haven't circumsized any more Brococks...

Yet. 🤔

As for partnering with some company, apparently most have more sense than I did when I partnered with my two ex-wives. To paraphrase, the unstable might not be the best choice of partners.

That said, but not to flatter myself 🤥, in a way I've partnered with several companies now producing Field Target and/or Extreme Field Target capable pistols... ALL Field Target and/or Extreme Field Target capable pistols. Those companies include (in approximate order of getting aboard the FT Pistol train)- Brocock (Grand Prix), FX (Ranchero), Crosman (1720T), Benjamin (Marauder), Rapid Airworx (TM-1000), and FX (again, with a new pistol announcement ). However, only RAW has benefitted from actually hearing and soliciting my suggestions and feedback.

Daystate and Skout should hire me! 🤣

@AirNGasman Hmmmm. A Skout pistol. That would be interesting. Almost two years later and now there is the Brocock Pathfinder. I think it came out around the time that you modified your Brocock. I had no doubt that the Bantam Sniper would make an accurate pistol.

I think your work is great and consistent with the high quality of the rifle you started with. Would a stiffer valve return spring perhaps help a little with the noise? I'm thinking the valve may be staying open past the pellet exit point with the shortened barrel. It would possibly reduce power a little too but you seem to want that.

Likely.

However my reducing power on the convertible was done in order to meet the Extreme FT power limit when Black Betty is set to power level 2 on the power wheel. Of course that also reduced power on power level 4, that I'd rather have maintained as high as possible. But the 20 foot pound muzzle energy at PL 2 was/is a higher priority.

Yes; the Pathfinder came out shortly after my Brocock pistol conversions. 🤔 And yes, I am suggesting a connection. Hard to believe the timing a coincidence; given the many centuries airguns have been produced, the decades Brocock has produced airguns, and their Pathfinder coming out within a couple months after my first Bocock pistol conversion.
