What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello everyone,

Another Spring day today and got caught up with all of my chores so I set up a new paper target outdoors at 10-meters.

Range: Outdoors at 10-Meters
Pistol: Diana Stormrider Gen2, .22cal with regulator
Scope: Vector Optics Tourex 6-24x50 FFP
Pellets: AA 13.43gr
FPS: 787
FPE: 18.47
Position: Bench with TPRR

Shot about 6 groups of 5 with the RWS 45 @46 feet. First and best, orange dot, was pretty good but I was surprised at the shift in zero. I had put a couple drops of chamber oil in it about a week ago. I don’t know if this rifle has a leather seal or not, I’ve never had it apart since I have owned it. Mid to late 80s. The groups in between were all over the place although still in the orange after I made a sight change and checked the screws. Then I fired the last round with the flyer. I didn’t think It was me but who knows. The shot cycle seems a little smoother since I shot it last maybe it had to settle down a bit since the lube job? These regular springers can be frustrating at times, my FWB 300 S has pretty much spoiled me 😁 I used the same hold I usually use, open hand rested on the bag light shoulder hold. All in all I still like the old girl.

Good shooting. It’s interesting that your misses seem to be mostly left. Do you think it could be trigger influence possibly?
Maybe. I’m going to try and make adjustments to the scope tomorrow and see if that works. I use a light grip with it and the trigger is only a few ounces. I didn’t score it because I was just looking to see how it did, but got in my head and held a little right for a few 😂

Was it shot outdoors and with a R to L wind perhaps?
Nope, 10m indoor. I just did a rough zero with the scope. I went from being zero for 10.3gr FX, to Daisy 7.5gr hollow points, to the AA 7.87gr. And only made slight adjustments to see how they group. I had a Labradar going to see what numbers I got. Long story short, I was trying to fit too much in a small amount of time. 😂
10ish more years and I can retire and take my time with things.

It was just my fast and loose shooting coupled with not having the scope zero.

These are 3mm circles. Far right column is sight shots. If i feel a pellet doesn’t load well i shoot it at one also(second one down)

I had time for 10 slow shots today using a Carm SST the just arrived. I’ll try and finish the target tomorrow.

PP750
Air Arms 7.87 4.52mm
Indoor 10m.

This is my Steyr LP50 Compact with Burris FastFire III. Shooting at 25 yards offhand, 2 hand hold at the B-6C target.
25 shots at 500fps with JSB Match 7.33. Amazing pistol!

25 yards WO)W ! I have a local gun store with indoor 75 yard range but they will not let Air Guns in . ( if they did that would have every father with a kid want an hours time , specially @ Xmas )

Hello @beerthief

If they only have a few lanes and keep them full of PB's shooting, then I kind of see their point. However, it is a shame that they are not letting "some" airgun shooters use at least one lane. After all, today's young airgunner is tomorrow's PB buyer .

This is South central KY "why would a grown man shoot a BB gun ?" Seriously the range is 15 lanes, plenty of room
might be an insurance thing as any one has to "pass " a safe handling test ", signed and dated .

Here on the big island of Hawaii there is NO place to shoot, not air guns nor powder burners unless you are a hunter.
I set up a 25 yard “range” on our property. Check out the fancy target and bench stands! Only the finest HD plastic saw horses will do.
The target is a little hard to see in the pic from the bench. It’s to the left of the spirit house (?), under the orchid tree. See the close up pic.

love seeing inventive solutions , great going .

I continued this target I started Tuesday. Things started falling apart. I ran a patch and that didn’t fix it. I found the two grub screws for the moderator adapter to be loose. So I used some blue thread locker and will see today if that was the issue.

That’s how it fell apart
