Airgun Technologies Krale Listing Uragan 3

Krale listing several versions of Uragan 3. Synthetic (700mm) lists .177, .22 and .25 with .177 only in-stock (60-day) availability, all $1765. USD. Walnut (700mm) lists same calibers, plus .30. Price, $1858. USD, until .30 which jumps to $1925. USD. WM
I'd be tempted to get a .22 400mm as I already have the 600mm .177

Not sure why U3 Synthetic (700mm) doesn't show .30 availability while Walnut (700mm) does but $67 price jump from Walnut .177, .22, .25 to .30 doesn't seem too much, suspected several $100. Lots of pre-orders seems to have hollowed out the recent AGT delivery. Applying $67 price difference, figure Synthetic (700mm) .30 should be around $1830. WM

It was about an $80 difference between synthetic and walnut for my .177, I was surprised as well. What are your guessing on the price, seems like a decent one

Walnut is prettier but costs more, I'm all about synthetic so I'll enjoy the savings. Still awaiting news on U3's regulator and valve but suspect that will be coming once U3s get out there. WM

How does the warranty work if you order from the U.S. ?

Thanks in advance.
Tony, at Talon Airguns, is US AGT importer. He's pretty good about taking care of customers. I shop Krale for savings, had to return one for no charge warranty work, however, shipping, both ways, on me. Total was $195 but saved $500 on purchase so still ahead. WM

Purchased four airguns from Krale, warranty return only once. After few months, new U2 started shooting full power, squib, full power, squib, till magazine empty. Notified Krale, they said we'll send parts or you can return under warranty. Didn't know at that time that AGT had a redesigned balanced valve so just sent gun back, via Pirate Ship. Krale installed new-style valve and returned, only charged $45 shipping, no duty fees. U2s been flawless since. WM

How's Tony's attitude when sending guns his way for warranty work? I read horror after horror stories of not returning calls when returning products.

Can't help with that one, never purchased airgun there. Members seem impressed with purchase side of Talon Airguns, horror stories don't come to mind on warranty return side. WM

I've purchased 2 or 3 airguns from Talon Tunes over the years. All 3 airguns came with a test target to indicate grouping. What it means to me is that a small vendor took the time to check and verify the initial quality of the items he sells. Considering how many posts we see from people receiving non-functioning it is reassuring to find a vendor who checks products which come out of the shop. Plus that testing prior to sale approach helps to protect the shop from unreasonable returns due to product defects.

I'm not a constant reader of the forums but have also not read of complaints on their warranty/maintenance/repair end of things. And when it comes to vendor complaints or praise we often just see a very small sample of feedback out of what might be hundreds (thousands?) of sales. As a general observation, any very small vendor shop may have wider swings in quality than a larger shop with more staff to spread the work around. I can think of 2 vendors of airgun products who we have all heard about. I'll never buy from either of them anymore because of an unsatisfactory interaction in the past. One of them regularly gets good product and service reviews from his other customers on the forums. It's hard to decide whether to 'warn' other potential buyers when I have received unsatisfactory service. Often I just accept the cost and frustration and move on to a different vendor if the problem bothered me enough at the time.

I don't need any more airguns but that new Taipan Slash semi-auto listed on the banner at the Talonairguns site looks promising. I've had a few nice big name side-cocking air rifles over the years. But ever since I bought an L2 and some Hubens I have been less inclined to shoot manually cocked repeaters.

rambling on ...

Services are hit or miss from what I have read. From what I have experience, buying is always a pleasure, but if you are looking for help, I'd look elsewhere.

I want a Taipan, but due to the negative feedback regarding Talon Tunes / Talon Airguns, both on the forum and via PM or email, I will wait until Taipan chooses another vendor in the U.S. which I hear is in the works.

It is unfortunate as I like to support small businesses and Talon is relatively close to our winter home, but I want to be able to order with confidence that I will be supported if an issue arrises.

I guess I'm the lucky one. I have bought from Krale and had the same problem as @WorriedMan. I sent the gun back and other than the return shipping - they paid the freight back - they fixed the gun with no problems.

That being said, I have gotten my Taipan 550m from Tony along with an RTI P3 and a Ghost HP (when he had them on sale) and of course the sale was quick and event free. I had a problem with the P3 leaking and I sent Tony an email and he responded the next day and then I talked with him over the phone and we figured out the problem. He has picked up the phone on all but a few of my calls where when he didn't pick it up, I left a message and he did return the call. So my experience has been very good with Tony.

Possible Krale noticed a trend with warranty U2s and dropped freight return charges, too late for me, lucky for you. Tony, of Talon Airguns, may have replaced original version balanced valve, up front, with updated, to head off problems, just a guess. Prior to any AGT Krale purchase I compare to-my-door pricing with Talon Airguns. To date, savings with 3 purchases has totaled over $1250. USD, enough to cover cost of new Vector Veyron scoped Vulcan 3. WM

I'm in the same boat as you as far as "mail order" guns. I have bought 3 from Krale and 3 from Balistas and the savings were averaging over $250 per gun. Especially if you get them on a model change or a sale...
