Hi,
My Evo HP regulator began leaking badly when trying to go from 1500 to 1800-1900 psi. I took it apart to find a blown internal SK-OU9009 x ring in the MFE-103. I bought an o-ring kit from Skout as I had every ring EXCEPT that size.
Skout overnighted the kit and included new MFE-103 PLUS an upgrade to the SK-FLT103, which they claimed was causing problems. Thanks guys!!!
I replaced all o-rings in both regs and reassembled. I didn't notice any bad o-rings other than the aforementioned above and saw no scratches or gouges. When I opened the valve to the bottle, it was like a torrent of air coming out the front of the HP reg.
I tore everything down again and rebuilt again ...same thing.
I also tried buna N90's I had bought...nope.
So, with that, does anyone know what the culprit might be, where I should concentrate my efforts? Of course I won't be able to get a hold of Skout until Monday. and of course its warmed up and the winds have subsided.
Thanks for any help....
