H&N Precision Slug .22 - your new option for long-range shooting

I really like the H+N Barracuda 18 grain. What weight H+N slugs are best in a Hatsan Blitz? The weight retention of the H+N is superb, recovered pellets were just a tick over 17 grains. That after going through about 2 inches of catalog.

I've been hunting with these already and I never really got to test them fully I'm slinging them at 1007fps out to 100 yards hit and kill instantly almost every time. I'm sure if I went on a full tune day and found a sweet spot they would be even better. Why don't you guys try and make a precision slug but that's 40 grains?

Any info out there on a good choice for the Hatsan Blitz slug wise? I understand it can become semi auto only with slugs, and that's OK, they would make for pricey burst shooting. Would enjoy hearing from other users, TIA. Apparently the elves at Hatsan have been busy, I'd rate that trigger on my Blitz as "somewhat" heavy, I have others with worse triggers it's not bad now after a few thousand rounds, even tho it has NOT been pulled a few thousand times.

I have been waiting on back order for several weeks at a Pyramyd Air Pre order and now I see the Precision line out of stock with most vendors. Has the Precision line been discontinued?

That's strange. We sent half a million of each diameter to PA with the last shipment. Perhaps they haven't been recorded in the shop system yet.

Strange indeed. I waited nearly a month (January 27th) watching them, hoping they would be back in stock. I placed a pre order on February 21st for 20 tins of the .218. It's showing an expected in stock date of March 31, but that date is moved back each day. The .217 are the same situation. It's been nearly 2 months. Strange indeed!

I initially ordered 20 tins when they first came out. I really like them. Pyramyd Air has the best deals on pellets/slugs (my opinion), but they have been out of stock forever. Utah Air is also out of stock. I hear Hatsan has a few, but I can't imagine how many sales opportunities are being lost by not having the product available. If I weren't so impressed with the Precision slug design I would have canceled my Pyramyd order weeks ago. Might be worth a call see what's going on with the shipment to Pyramyd. Thanks for the information and timely response. Much appreciated

Okay, now I have to apologize. We did NOT send any Precision Slugs to PA with the last shipment.
I don't know what the hell I saw yesterday in our ERP system. I'm very embarrassed.
Maybe there were some hallucinogens in my coffee...
I will add some to next shipment which is in preparation.

Wow! That's very alarming. Pyramyd Air is one of, if not the largest distributor of air rifle ammunition in the United States. They have been out of stock in your Precision line of slugs in .218 and .217 since the first of the year and we are wrapping up the month of March. I don't know which surprises me more....that you overlooked sending PYRAMYD AIR any ammunition, or, that they haven't contacted you and are allowing pre orders with no forseen date to fulfill the orders. I think I'll cancel my 20 tin order of the .218 Precision slugs. If it's hallucinations in your morning coffee causing these overnights and poor business etiquette, on behalf of myself and the other United States customers, I'd propose maybe waiting till quitting time before indulging in mind altering party favors. We developed these slugs primarily with the PRS/PRC shooting discipline in mind. Therefore, these slugs are only produced in .22.

What's the latest on the Pyramyd Air in stock situation? Do you you expect to have some there in the foreseeable future? I've had a 20 tin pre order stalled out for 3 months now.
