FX Tuning styles of Impact M4

Kinda sloppy methods on both honestly. Not even worth dissecting. Just watch a tuning video and follow that…these are both not proper ways to tune. You’re either under power and hammering the snot out of the gun, or over powered and trying to finesse it into working. Start low, increase hammer until you reach max velocity. Is that fast enough? If yes stop and test for consistency. If no increase reg and try again.

This is also only the beginning as speed is only one of many factors that create a properly tuned gun.

You can ask better questions also and use proper grammar. That would also be helpful.

There’s countless videos all telling you the same thing. Here’s a short and sweet one.

Thats not M4 and do you always talk like that to people? You can also try talking Finnish if this doesent please you.
What comes to the tune guestion, which one do you prefer and if you could describe why?

Neither. I wouldn’t ever tune my gun like that on either one of those. Start low, increase gradually. The definitely don’t start at 150 bar and tune down with the valve.

Honestly go on YouTube and watch several videos.

What even is your goal? What caliber and barrel length do you have? What are you trying to do with the gun? What are your goals? You have literally provided no information.
Does it matter if you are just tuning your gun to certain velocities and to make it efficient by following these guidelines you also told? What Im trying to do with the gun? Well shoot the projectiles as accurately and efficiently that me and my gun is able to. And my goal, questionvise, is to gather info about the original question if there is some pro's or con's in those ways to tune it.

It absolutely matters and once again. Start with the basics. What caliber is your gun. What length barrel. At minimum you must give that information because that will determine what pressure to set your regulator. What weight ammo are you shooting. Pellets or slugs?

Again, what is your goal. Bench rest? Hunting?

These basic questions need to be answered before you can be helped.

Really no wrong approach if you end at a balanced harmonic tune that produces the power you want. I have a pretty good idea what reg pressure to set and I start with a low hammer.
High reg pressure just does things faster, and lower hammer tension and lowered valve just works together. I just noticed that doing the option 2, made my grouping super tight. Shot from tripod tho. POI is because didnt want to zero my scope for 25m.

You can get tight groups using either option, but that doesn’t mean the gun will be accurate at all distances. You still haven’t mentioned what caliber your gun is and what your barrel length is.

Do you have a chronograph? Do you know exactly what speed your gun is shooting at? If you don’t have a chronograph and you are just turning knobs and dials blindly, you will occasionally be accurate. The problem is that you will not be consistent and you will definitely not be efficient on air.

For example, I have a 22 caliber compact with a 500 mm barrel and I now get around 125 full power shots that are extremely accurate at any distance. I spent a lot of time properly tuning my gun and testing out all of the different variables that you can change.

What caliber is your gun? How long is the barrel and what speed and ammo are you shooting?
