Model 48 Being Discontinued by Diana

I have the 48 in .22. I opted to stay with the iron sights as I’ve heard she’s hard on scopes.
I also have an AA Pro Sport in .22 and that does have a scope since it never came with iron sights.
Both are outstanding rifles … accurate, powerful, built like tanks, and built to last.

Our logal importer says, next year factory make more 48 for sale. But it not sure.

You'd think that Diana guru hector guy would chime in being he some kinda inside big man..lol

My .117 will be 20 years old next year. One of my favorites, great accurate gun.

Looks like most Diana's are out of stock , unavailable, no back orders ..lol

Still can get a few dianapeak ones ( china) ..

Well, next year Mr T is planning to slap more tariffs on goods coming into the US. So a lot of my favorite airguns will get even more expensive. I might grab whatever I can before next year

My old T1 48 is going to be in my collection as long as I am. Great gun

If you're going to install a vortex kit make sure it's NOT a TO1 trigger. The vortex kit doesn't fit it. ARH sells a kit for the TO1 trigger. The TO5 and TO6 triggers are fine for the vortex kit.

I think if the D48 does get discontinued it will be because of the bean counters. They can make way more profit off of the China guns.

My 1999 Diana 48 in .177

I was just thinking about selling my 2 yr old model 48 in .22 to downsize my battery of airguns so I can buy some different ones. Looks like I will be keeping it for a while now.

Ohhh … never sell that 48!
I also have one in .22 and love it. Such a strong shooter, and with a loyal following that offers all sorts of mods and support.

I’m keeping my 177,20 22 48

I have a .177 52,I wish it was a .22,it is a powerful, accurate springer,does need 10-20 degree scope base ,good rings and a stout springer scope.Mine does .

I’ve had good luck with the althon talos 3-12x40 sfp scopes which Althon said is springer rated. Have this scope on all my springers and the 48 too with no problems. Lifetime warranty

I'll look into the Athlon for my other rifles, but I think I'm going to go with something bigger on this particular one. The 56th really isn't the kind of rifle you'd ever do any kind of stalking or hunting where you'd need to quickly acquire your sight picture with. I've got a 6-25x56 scope on a PCP, (I don't remember the maker), and I'm thinking that if I swap that out for the Bushnell that's on the 56 right now that I might be able to keep using that scope on the PCP. The glass on it is really very good, so it would be a shame to throw it out. A Diana 54 or 56 is probably the hardest air rifle on scopes ever made, so it could be that I won't notice the shifting POI on something else.
