Snowpeak Preordered my MAX1

We appear to be "unhosed"!

From Wes:
Hi! The Max 1 is coming by ship to Canada from China. Those in the USA that ordered, I will send down the rifles in one big shipment to Texas and I'll pay the tariff on the goods. When it was only ten percent I planned to keep the price the same and just take that out of my profits. I believe I have the price at $790 on my website. I may raise it to $800 plus shipping of around $25 but that should be about all. I realize it's not fair to the customer or to myself but I'll do my best to absorb as much as I can. I'll raise the price on the ones not spoken for to try and recoup some of the cost.
Thanks,
Wes
i think that is literally TOO kind of Wes. the fault lies somewhere else...

Why would tariffs even be a thing. These rides are made in china, not canukistan. What am I missing here?
I had been told they were going to come in through California. That was wrong.

But there is a 20% tariff on goods from Canada. Wes has to ship to Texas where they will be dispersed to the pre-orders in the US.

Hi Guys! I was told by Megan at Snowpeak on Sunday they were trucking the shipment to Ningbo port this past Monday to be ready to load on the container. Been tons of delays so I am getting a bit weary but it was good to hear something is happening. I want to really thank those that have been waiting for forever. Thank you for hanging in there! I will be sending an update by email once I hear they are on the way. I am also exploring another avenue to avoid the tariffs altogether. I heard from my brother a few weeks ago and he was talking with a shipping broker friend that said USPS is not set up for handling all the packages with tariffs owed, and so they have been keeping the $800 exemption on packages coming in by USPS for shipments from Canada. I tested it out with a few rifle scopes and so far no one has paid tariffs on Chinese goods sending it by Canada post which gets handed off to USPS. When i send it by UPS then they get a huge bill, so I am keen to try sending an air rifle canada post/USPS to see if that holds true on bigger packages like air rifles that are under $800. If that is the case then I can send everything from here tariff free and that would sure be good, getting the rifles to everyone faster and saving a ton of money instead of sending to Texas to be reshipped. I'll update what I find out once I get a chance to try it.
Thanks
Wes

Awesome Wes!

Thanks! In regards to the Max, it won't have a built in moderator so one will need to be added. I do have Moderators coming. I found out just today that the Max has a different magazine than the M60 and Zelos, so that is bad news. I had asked several times but I guess the question got missed by Snowpeak and they finally let me know after the shipment was already shipped out so now I am trying to arrange shipment of those mags separately for guys that want spares. I will also send Maple Products a mag as soon as I get the rifles so he can get these developed and ready for sale in his design. If you haven't tried maple mags yet they are a great mag, easy to load and easy on pellets so I appreciate his work and products.

Probably needs a mag that can take longer slugs. Updates on the MAX moderators?
Hopefully 1/2-20 thread.

I may be wrong, but from the video the magazines do look like the m60/zelos mags. Also from the video to me anyway it seems that the lower air cylinder is like on the zelos/m60 and therefore removeable. This means that you should be able to add a bottle but may need an adapter line the one on the notos that drops down to allow for clearance.

I compared with the video too and it does look the same! That’d be great as I have 4!
