Zbroia Shortening the air reservoir.

I love my Zbroia Kozak FC, except for 2 things:

1. Fill valve is a crude screw holding an o-ring together. Does not match the workmanship of the rest of the gun, and I had to reseal it several times.
2. Not a fan of the barrel protruding past the reservoir. It's like either I could have more air for the same length or I could have a more compact gun for the same amount of air.

Recently, I've been liking the idea of QD suppressors, like Begemot by Edgun. So I'm thinking about having the air reservoir on my Kozak cut down to match barrel level. Figure it could be a lot more packable, I'm not too concerned about shot count. Does anyone know anyone who can make that happen? Thanks.

I have an extra 220 cc air tube for Kozak the original model, it is an extra that I bought just for the end pieces
I believe the threads and the od are the same,, just shorter,, the tube bare, is 400mm long

While a "good" machine shop can "single point" the threads...
You'd better make SURE...he knows what he's doing !! If the threads are even just a little too deep, and the thread contact with the cap are too loose...filling the reservoir "could"...blow the cap right off !! No matter how tight you "think" it is.
See..."class 3" threads.

Be prepared to "spend".

I don't understand. You say "not a fan of barrel protruding PAST reservoir". If you shorten reservoir wouldn't barrel protrude even more? I think altering HP air cylinders might be asking for problems when messing with their structural integrity. Think SAFETY FIRST. Pictures?
'IF' I understand the op's situation,,, the shroud containing a baffle, extends past the airtube,, the actual barrel does not

Protruding with shroud on. If I remove the shroud, the barrel ends a few inches behind. So I shorten the tube and convert it to QD mod.

That's why I asked here and not at a local machine shop haha. Figured someone here would know how to go about it.
