Hatsan Should I modify a new pcp air rifle and if so which one?

Dirt cheap kind of give. And I agree it's probably best to get the general PCP mechanics down before modifying anything. Also figuring out what you want the gun to do is very helpful. For instance big game hunter, mid game hunter, small game hunter, target rifle, plinker. I've found the airguns to fall into a certain niche.
Any category for a shot gun style break rifle one that shoots multiple pellets or anyway to modify pellets to do that?

@Kwitdahusky tennis balls

Yes, I did make that.... lol
Mounted to the barrel of the GenII Dragonclaw. In the tech manager's office at Pyramyd Air... 😆

See I’m with you all the way except the fire extinguisher part…. I wanna keep it an airgun just for the sake of it
Just use a oxygen cylinder the large one plumb it where the valve is .
I saw on pawn stars years ago guy made a bowling ball mortar but was using black powder instead of air

Just got into air rifles and wanted to start modifying a pcp rifle next something similar to this let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions on a good rifle for this

You need to be 100% sure of your legality before you post a video of you doing some shady sheet... Just shooting pellets in many large cities will get you a trip downtown.

Shooting an air rifle in ROCKVILLE MD and providing the police with a nice video to document your actions... sure seems like you did not think that through very far. Noting is ever temporary on the Net. Going all commando by hiding under an overpass shows that you are at least a little bit aware of the dangers of being seen. Airgun Nation will not permit people to discuss or show illegal or dangerous acts.

Don’t worry I did a lot of research of the legality before I even purchased the air rifle everything in the video is perfectly legal and abides by state laws

Hey Mike - is the one with the squared off shroud a PileDriver? I like the looks of the stock as well. Nice
Thanks.

Hmmm, never heard of a Pile Driver, airgun .

The square shroud gun is a Kalibrgun, "Argus 45", (short barrel brother of the Argus 60). This ones in .22.
Never liked the stock design / shape. So I fixed it, to me anyway.

That’s beautiful what did you use to cut the barrel and round the end?
Mmm, I can't say. No one would believe me. All I can say is that it takes a while to get a proper surface / shape, and with a clean crown.

The "proper way" of doing both the barrel "shortening" and putting a proper "crown" on the end, is with a lathe. There is no "rounding" anywhere, I'm not sure what that is.
A good crown can be of...many...shapes. Some prefer this shape, or that shape or angular degree. It really makes no difference, as long as it is "centered" in the barrel bore, free of burrs.

I hand cut the shroud, squared the ends and had it welded back together. This is a MUCH cheaper way, vs. having new threads cut to accept the end cap.

I also had to remove a lot of the O.D. of the Mod30, muffler, so it does not hit the air cylinder. There's actually about a .004" (piece of paper!) gap between the two.

Hope that helps.

Yeah you helped a lot I’m actually taking notes to make my next project better every time

This sure seems like a bot or someone clearly fishing to get into a bad place here in the forums. REPORT
If you talking to me then no I’m very real please don’t just accuse me of not being real. second what is fishing to be in a bad place? if I asked a question and posted a video explaining what I meant by the question isn’t that doing exactly what the forum is made for?

If you want a plethora of options and a simple safe design, Airforce Talon or Condor.

I took a .22 Talon I got cheap, changed the 12" barrel to a 19" barrel. Changed the hammer to a 90 gram steel and a heavy spring to push it. Got a high flow valve, a 1.1L fat Carbon Fiber bottle and a Huben Power Cricket Max-ATH regulator to provide the air.

I can push a 25.4gr .22 pellet 1100 FPS at 65FPE with the regulator at 3000psi and the power wheel at 10.

Or I can run at 1800psi and the power wheel at 4 and get 850FPS.

All the parts except the bottle and regulator came from Trajectron.com
Acecare 1.1L Fat CF Bottle from AliExpress
Cricket Max-ATH from HubenPower.com

Welcome to the rabbit hole.
The AF guns are single shot but that has the advantage of not requiring loading magazines. I did not expect to like the single shot but I shoot them a lot.

There are a couple AF guns in the classifieds. The one with the 50cc plenum is the Cricket Max-ATH regulator.

There is a Condor on Gunbroker.com selling tomorrow.

The Texan line is big bore, more expensive and starts out with fairly high power.

State law is the least of your problems though… you really gotta check out county and city/town laws and ordinances even if what you’re doing is ok based on state law (assuming it is). The really restrictive stuff is all local. It’s not about owning the Airgun, it’s about carrying it around and firing it. There is towns out there that’ll get you booked for a slingshot. Can also call the local police and ask them whether there are any rules for shooting a pellet gun in your backyard, they’ll tell you. I’m pretty sure they’ll also tell you that public areas is a no no and some parts of the video don’t look like private property (at at least with no backstop preventing pellets from leaving property…). As much fun as airguns are, no need to get in trouble because of it I guess…

As it was mentioned already... HPA (high pressure air) is to be respected. I suggest you spend some time leaning about and how these PCP guns work.
There are thing like metal tinsel strength and safety margins. They can become virtual pipe bombs that you will be holding next to your face when shooting.
I admire your urge to modify, I do alot of that myself as do many others here but none of us want to hear about the accidents that can happen.
I once had a childhood friend that put dry ice in a plastic soda bottle. He added some water and screwed the lid on. Before he could get rid of it, it blew up and the shards of plastic really did a number on his hand. I can't imagine if the was metal at 2 - 4k of pressure.
Maybe just hang around a while and learn some more from the knowledgeable folks here before diving in.
