Air venturi avenge x .25

Avenge-X is a popular "starter" PCP. Not familiar with stated concern, mostly satisfied owners on this forum. Saving for a better quality, higher tier airgun is also often recommended by members, though many began with a lower priced Chinese or Turkish "starter." WM
From what I've seen on the Facebook groups most like it but have the poi problem. Some of guns don't hold zero well. Some say you can take the barrel band off and have a free floating barrel and it fixes the problem. Others say they constantly fight it.

I try to keep an eye out for "starter" PCP concerns since many new members request recommendations. Won't disagree with Facebook group but wouldn't stop me from purchasing. The Air Venturi Avenger, an earlier platform, had several concerns, all addressed by manufacturer with new Avenge-X upgraded platform. WM

Just out of curiosity. What's your go to for accurate plinking/small game? By accurate i mean holes touching at 50yds.

I've a collection of 10, except for one, all easily and consistently meet that criteria. Two FX, two Taipan Veterans, three AGT, one Umarex Gauntlet and one M60B Snowpeak. WM

Which one is your favorite and what caliber is it?
Lately, find myself grabbing Uragan 2 (700mm) .30 when problem pest shows up. Designed as a long-distance slugger, the balanced valve system also helps JSB 44.75s stay on course. With 984 FPS, the pellets hit hard @ 50 yards. WM

Just checked those out. I wouldn't mind having the 600mm in .25.

AGT just introduced a Uragan 3, Uragan 2s can be a good deal. I've purchased my three AGT at Krale (Netherlands), Talon Airguns is US Distributor. Use, "Krale," in search box, upper right page corner, if curious. WM

Snowpeak M60B/Umarex Zelos (basically same rifle) just a good shooter.
Bigger, heavier, more power Gauntlet SL

Reximex Throne 2 (great features, better price from Krale or Huma Air) I have one ordered, delayed shipping from Huma

AirForce Talon or Condor (light, reliable, accurate and easiest rifles to upgrade and maintain) I have a Condor and a Talon. More than doubled the power with upgrades. Swap from .22 to .25 in less than 10 minutes (4 screws). Actually surprised how comfortable I am with the single shot. Was sure I wouldn't like it. Picked up a broken Talon, fixed 1 oring, was shooting once I could fill the air bottle.

If you could ever find one used, owners don't sell them often, FX Boss, Royale or Bobcat. The best airgun ever made. Alamo Airguns still has 1 .30 Boss new for 1699.

Older BSA, Falcon, Air Arms, A. H. Hartley wood stock rifles circa 2000. Works of art, shoot incredible and look gorgeous. Find pictures of a Falcon FN19 or Hartley Tiger 10. I have both.

Or you can spend 2-3 times more for that extra 1/4" accuracy at 50 yards. I'm a cheap bastige so only a couple of mine cost me more than $1,000. Several under $500 and the Talon was $100. Of course I've put $500 in the Talon with upgrades and scope.
