I am saving up money for an FWB 65 and wondering what a good price would be for one in excellent, good, and fair condition.

$350 in fair condition, this is min. price. Over the past 10 years I have not been able to buy it cheaper even on Egun.I bought 3 FWB65 2 in Germany and one in the USA for $350 each, all left-handed and required repair.Left-handed used pistols are cheaper.

you have to look at the pistol and see what it is, that sound stupid but not in this case
so which FWB 65 is it early, middle, late
what grips
target or sports and are they clean or badly soiled
when was the pistol rebuilt, does it have blue or green buffers or even red
now condition, is all the finish there
what comes with it
are there more than 1 front insert and is the recoil plate there and the screw and if so are the tall front inserts there
you see you have to know what you are looking at
rebuild if needed is what 200 bucks with shipping or maybe you can do it yourself but you must be a very good smith to do it
the small stuff like front inserts is a bonus to you but those extras add value any paperwork added bonus
dirty grips are a no go for me i have never gotten FWB grips that are stained by hand sweet clean
the price is up in the air because they will all be different
15 years ago 300.00 to 350.00 now anywhere from 450.00 to 800.00
so, you might say that is a lot of work to find out all of that and i say it is part of the hobby, to be able to look at something and know its value
prices are up on all guns you can find a steal sometimes but that was on Ebay but with their new unknow why shipping rules you could find and be complete cut off to buy there are other places
and auction gives you time to get answers, a buy now makes you rush

Oh yes! Putting the recoil plate back in place is the most difficult thing in this pistol, not everyone can do it. Also, the horizontal adjustment clicks often do not work, but this is easily fixed.

I paid I think about $100 less for mine, that needed resealing. that was another couple of hundred plus shipping both ways for me.
