EDgun Leshiy 2 Question

Ive been debating purchasing a Leshiy 2 9mm. I have two questions actually. First, would adding the Raptr regulator give me the option to really pump up the FPS for slug shooting? I’ve read that it’s possible to get near 1150-1200FPS with this change. Second, If I were to purchase a smaller caliber unit, say a .30 and add the Raptr, and change out to a longer SubMOA barrel from FX, could I get near the energy as a 9MM by the increased FPS and slug weight?
I definitely want as much punch as I can get to for hunting backyard bullies. Coons, possums, and such. Maybe a coyote once in a while seeing that they come around now and then looking to get into the chickens.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Whenever dealing with airguns rule number one should be accuracy over all out power. The new regulator will allow for higher regulated pressures but this may not be the best option as this puts stress on the other components. IMO that’s not required to move slugs at higher velocities to a certain degree. The other question in regards to the FX barrels. I would take a solid single piece barrel over that multi piece design any day. There’s nothing wrong with the barrels the leshiy ship with.

I just received my Leshiy 2 9mm. I purchased mine less than a month ago, so I have the latest and greatest. That said, I opine the following.

To get the options you indicate, you have to use an authorized dealer that carries all options. You can get a Leshiy 2 from places that do not have all options available for the air rifle, like a Submoa barrel etc. With that said, some options may not even be available. Read on...

I was told the Raptr reg will not work on the newest model and therefore is not available as an option. Your only option is the Repr-X regulator for a new 9mm, which is their newest regulator. The Repr-X is a fully adjustable reg. Since mine is so new, I have not attempted to adjust the reg. I'm still getting used to the air rifle as is. From what I understand, you can adjust the reg up to 170-190 Bar. Standard is 130 Bar, which is where mine is set. I doubt I will ever get much higher than that as even the 22 cal has a bit of a bark even using the Behemoth modifier. It's barely backyard friendly. Due to that, I may lower the reg to less than 130 Bar to see if it reduces said bark.

The 9mm uses a solid single piece submoa barrel in whatever length option you order it in. I ordered a 22 cal barrel for mine when I purchased it so I can swap out to shoot quieter and cheaper. You can get an FX barrel adapter kit if you want, but the Submoa barrel that comes with it, imho is way superior for the Leshiy 2. Not saying the FX barrels aren't good, they are as I understand it. Just saying the barrels you get for the Leshiy 2 are top notch. Given that, I see no reason to even try an FX barrel.

Mine has proven to be a bit finicky and the place where I purchased it has as well. Time will tell if this continues. I'm going to withhold judgement until I get a little more time with it. But, so far, I'm a bit disappointed for such an expensive air rifle.

And, I completely agree with @Hobbyman2007.
