Unfortunately, gun laws only disarm those that obey gun laws. Criminals, not so much

I see this as a fight fire with fire situation.

I have a contingency plan for if my current neighbor wants to make my shooting a problem, and I had one at my last house too.

Your options are the city or the police department.
A bunch of junked out old cars in the yard of the neighbor that reported you and wants an issue? Someone at the city (town hall/zoning/etc) or even an HOA.
Any peep of a sound made by them after 10pm? Call to the cops.
Barking dog? Call to the cops.
Too many animals, livestock or otherwise? Call to the cops.
Headlights flashing into your house when they turn into your driveway (yeah this one is really petty, but maybe you're a shift worker, etc). Official complaints to the powers that be.
Drainage issues when it rains and water is coming into your property from there's? Official complaint to the powers that be.
Sounds of arguing? Report the domestic violence and let the cops know it sounds like someone is really mad over there.
On and on and on.

And then let them know it was you. You want them to know these are retaliatory. Ideally, you make the same types of problems for them that they made for you. You can eventually try to carefully shoot again and see if they keeps their yaps shut about it this time....or go to them with all the cards on the table and explain that you're willing to overlook their problem with the city if they no longer mind you shooting an airgun on your own property.

I'm generally a mind your own business and we won't have problems, either direction. But if they want to do this, it's gonna be on!

I have one neighbor and they're great. But they have a ranch's worth of livestock. Horses and cattle mostly. We're on two acre lots in city limits and they have anywhere from 15-25 horses and 10-15 cattle at any given moment. I've looked into zoning with my city and they're not allowed to have so many animals. If they ever want to make a problem with my hobby, they'll shortly thereafter have one for their hobby as well.

I think it could be telling that you happen to mention they are immigrants from Venezuela. But you mention several things that are illegal, at least they are where I live, such as speeding, loud noises after 10pm, fireworks, discharging firearms close to a residence, illegal subletting. Have you considered contacting local law enforcement, or even ICE? The current administration seems in favor of deporting even those with permanent resident status.

You will be amazed if you knew how little a Dane can do on his own property he is taxed like a SOB to own, you are now taxed on the possibility you could build more houses on your land not what is actually there.

But funny thing airguns it seem you can shoot in your own little garden, even right smack in a major city, and you dont even have to have a moderator.
The only rule seem to be, your lead can not leave the property / endanger passers by IE you must have a proper backstop

This little country never seize to amaze me.

This is true, the only sort of relief to this is, weapons on the black market here, helluva expensive, and in general ammo hard to come by, but yes even here in little old very gun shy Denmark the criminals will have everything from a sawed off shotgun loaded with birdshot to RPG 7 and other AT missiles, NLAW was used in the last biker war,,,, in the Danish capitol no less.

Passers-by are my biggest potential trouble even though this is not near a highway, just an unmaintained dirt road. We get so many tourists and lost drivers (thanks to a certain online nav company's refusal to correct errors...begins with Goo) that if I don't see or hear them about to go by, they might panic because they "saw a gun!" As it is now, I pause any shooting and put the gun down, and I look directly at the people, not in an aggressive way, but people are uncomfortable being watched going by. Makes them the one being watched, you know? Besides, there has been enough illegal activity such as drug dealing, dumping dead OR living unwanted animals, and trespassing that vigilance is good.

Those Google spies are awful. I saw how a former home had enough detail to show what kind and color of vehicles were outside. Another home actually showed ME outside as I pulled weeds! They need to back way off the close-ups.

Good for you on following the officer's advice. I can see from your posts that you love the sport and have never shown any inclination toward behaving like a jerk.

IIRC anything that "casts a projectile" is forbidden to use in our city limits.

Build a privacy fence and get you a good moderator and let your dog poop by her mailbox when you walk your dog.

Never thought I'd see the day that Dutch gun laws are actually more lenient than some parts of the US. At least when it comes to airguns. We are allowed to shoot in our backyards to our heart's content, as long as the noise stays within a reasonable limit, and the projectile doesn't leave the property. And we are one of the most densely populated countries on the planet.

Telling eh? You wouldn't be upset that someone who has no right to be here, who has a BS asylum claim most likely, comes here, uses the system for their personal benefit while draining our resources, then lies and uses the same system to try and dictate what you do, when it effects them none, and ISN'T ILLEGAL, or a threat, so, they fashion a lie, invade your privacy, threaten you with police, and deny your attempts to communicate peacefully, choosing to lie to police in order to get their way, no? Ok ,go ahead paint me however you'd like. I am friends with their neighbor, this is how I know of their situation. But that would be called "hearsay". I don't have their documentation. A lot of law enforcement requires one thing of the guilty party to get started much of the time. They must admit to it, or you must have proof. They lied about me, they lied to make a claim of asylum, so assuming they'll lie again to save their bacon isn't exactly a crapshoot. You think mentioning their status is telling, but you couldn't deduce my sentiments on cop calling from my very clear language? Okay, I find that telling. Fireworks aren't illegal here. How do you prove someone is subletting ? You think they haven't rehearsed a story? You think they're going to make official looking, fraudulent, yet notarized lease agreements on paper? The anger in my post is the fact everyone ignores their more frequent pecadillos and social faux pas', yet they turn around and do this. Which is major hypocrisy and extremely poor faith.

Second, I am pretty visible to local traffic passing by and have no idea who complained. People who pull in my driveway to turn around are looking straight at me with who knows what kind of thoughts.

Third; I knew this wasn't a good idea, and that's why the 75-yard trap is hidden in a bush line, which may confuse an onlookers even more trying to figure out what I'm shooting at.
You can see the state road, forty or so yards past the 75-yard pellet trap, which is hidden in a thick bush line surrounding the big oak tree.

I think that’s the approach I’d take too.
I’m sure you’ll figure out another way to shoot in the yard, albeit a pain.

I moved recently and really miss being able to shoot in my 13 yard crawlspace.
Now I have to drive 10 minutes to go to the range; while a minor inconvenience, I’m feeling a shooting withdrawal too.

Something I learned about squabbles with neighbors. They only end when one side or the other ends them. If nobody does it will turn into a feud that could last for generations. Sometimes no word is as good or better than the last word.
