Hello,
I'm looking for a compact .22 PCP for woods walking and hunting small game (Squirrels & rabbits). Farthest I'll shoot would be probably 80 yards. Most shots would be 25-50 yards. I have decided on a bullpup style air gun. I would like to shoot 18.13gr and possibly shoot up to 23gr at 900fps (Pellets mostly and some slugs). I would like 40+ full regulated shots before refilling. OAL length is <27", give or take 1/2 inch, and with no moderator included on the OAL. I'd prefer 6-7 lbs without a scope or any add-ons (Again, give to take 1/2 lb). I would prefer not to tinker with the gun. Leave it for a few months then shoot it with the same POI. Listed below are some of my considerations/opinion on why I might go/not go with a gun. Let me know if there's an air gun that falls into this category that I didn't list.
In consideration:
AirMaks Arms Krait Standard .22 (My #1 preferred air gun to get at this time. Seems to hit all the check marks with no issues)
KalibrGun Cricket 2 Tactical 45 (A bit heavier that what I'd like. Also read that this gun had issues with the magazines, not easy to tune and adjust the regulator)
RTI Arms Prophet 2.1 (Don't know much about this air gun and will have to do my research)
FX Maverick/Wildcat BT compact (Not a fan of he double regulator as it makes tuning a bit more difficult, plus I already own a Maverick in .25)
Western Sidewinder S Compact (I have one on the way but I don't know how I feel about it yet. It's also in .25)
AGT Uragon 2/3 (Don't know much about these air gun. Will have to do further research)
Edgun Leshiy 2 (Only 8 shots. Everything about the Leshiy is expensive. lol)
No longer in consideration:
Taipan Vet 2 Tact (I really like everything about this gun but the length (Too long) and weight(Too heavy))
RTI Arms P3 (Too long)
AGT Vulcan 3 (Too long, getting to heavy)
As you can see from my list, I enjoy the industrial tactical look. Again, leave me recommendations of air guns to look at. Also tell me to avoid one gun or another. All tips and information is welcome. Thanks!
