Looking at the 159 dollar model. I’m just curious what is under the gripper head? Is it arca ? Just curious if I could take off the gripper and connect an Arca rail directly to the tri pod instead? Thank you.
BOG death grip ??

I have the aluminum BOG Death Grip and the head is connected directly to the top of the tripod and there is no arca attachment. Mine is a few yers old though, so things may have changed. I have attached the bottom half of a quick disconnect picatinny scope ring to a 2X4 and put the 2X4 in the grip, attaching the quick disconnect tot he picatinny rail on my airguns and it works well. You can probably do the same with an arca mount.

I believe you can buy the death with a ball mount, but from what I understand, would be better to purchase the Death Grip first and then later invest in a good Arca setup. Some setups come complete, like the one I have here, it is a Death Grip.
