FX Wildcat III better than M3?

What are you not liking about the M3?
Well, it was a bad deal from the start. I purchased the gun new, and it came to me leaking. I returned it twice, and tried to get a refund, the gun still has a slow leak but I just deal with it. Customer service is not the best and I don't feel like dealing with it anymore. As far as the gun itself, idk, im just not in love with the platform. I was headset on the wildcat bt when I bought the mk3, they talked me into it.

No, you're probably going to want to stay out of fx gear. The linkage gets loose on the wildcat/maverick and takes some problem solving on dimensions and the regulator tuning procedure may bother you. But hey at least hammer changes are easier. If you didn't like an impact and finding leaks I don't think I could suggest fx stuff to you because they're so o ring intensive. My m3 hasn't leaked on me, but my buddies wildcat/mav (same gun different stocks) leaked from several points after getting wild with a regulator and causing several leak points. They're my favorite guns right now too fwiw but they're not for the impatient or those not obsessed with tinkering on their machines or those averse to many orings.

Wildcat/mav is a great gun, especially if you take the time to set up for 1 projectile and stick with it.

Never had any of the issues you described except the o-rings, esp on regs. If you get either the Wildcat or Maverick, strongly consider adding the “Shooting with Phil” tuning system(many YouTube videos). Just simplifies the tuning soooooo much. I know that I beat this drum a lot but it really has worked for me!!
His system also allows you to switch ammo weights and speeds VERY easily. Even has free dope sheets for you that are really close to what you will need for each caliber, ammo weight, speed, reg setting, barrel length, etc

I have owned 2 Wildcats, and 2 Impacts. I like them both, they both have issues, they both are awesome. I also own a Maverick for reference. I think the Wildcat is better in some ways, like the ergos and a lot less orings. The mags are good but I like the way they click into the Impacts better. Performance and accuracy is pretty much the same, as FX uses a lot of the same parts and designs on both models.

I would only consider the Wildcat/Maverick in 500mm since the front barrel support is further back on them compared to the Impacts. I have had poi shifts with every FX I have owned so far and I dont want a lot of floppy barrel assembly out front unsupported. I recently bought a Wildcat brand new I like them so much, they are amazing at woods walking. All my FXs have the carbon fiber liner, and this Wildcat has a BlackArts Designs barrel band to help with poi shifting.

Maybe I'll send it to utah airguns and have it repaired and give it more time to grow on me.
I think that may be worth your time. I find the adjustability on the impact to be exactly what I want. I just wish I had gone 600mm after all I've learned. Or set it up as a slug cannon and get another gun if you can? I got a dreamline tactical for my every day pellet shooting at critters needs an dmy. Impact is a heavy slug shooter.

I questioned fewer orings and noticed it's a tube gun. I cannot push back on a single point you've made.

Have an MK3, im going to be honest, it's not what I thought it was going to be. Considering a Wildcat lll bt sniper instead. What's everyone's thoughts? I have a wildcat mkl in .25 and love it. Thanks, Jamie.
Hmmm, seems like you answered your own question (in red above)...right ?
Not THAT...big a difference in the mk1 and the mk3.
